At the Aviation Community Day 2023 event held on November 10, Captain Victor Glover bestowed upon District 3 Commissioner Lumon May a distinguished set of Naval Astronaut Wings and an emblematic flag that had been ceremoniously flown aboard the International Space Station during Expeditions 64/65. These prestigious wings and the symbolic flag embarked on an extraordinary journey to space and safely returned to Earth aboard the Crew Dragon Resilience. The illustrious crew spent an awe-inspiring 167 days in space, gracefully orbiting the Earth 2,672 times at an altitude of 250 statute miles, traversing a staggering distance exceeding 70 million miles, all while hurtling through space at a mind-boggling speed of 17,500 miles per hour.
