I googled to confirm and its a smaller Spinosaur - more like a little Baryonyx, but I guess it probably could do a little swimmy so could of been a returning antagonist dino who stalks the raft and pops up later; but I think Ben failing that raft roll and bringing the spider was plenty of danger. I might be completely off with this but with the random time shenanigans putting people from different time periods, and the unnatural movement of the gallimimus, I feel weirdly reminded of a kid playing with toys (using all their toys to play, even ones that don't fit the narrative/time period, and making things move in ways that don't make sense), so I reckon that could be the twist, if there even is a twist

Hilarious, I am loving this game, the two boys from chaotic neutral are side splitting funny and fit in well with Tom/Ben/Lydia dynamics. One of the best eps of Mystery Quest yet! Going onto a lake while tailed by a spynosourus would be the worst thing to do because spynos were faster in water then on land. Because they mainly used their needle like teeth to catch fish from what i remember and attack land prey that came near the water.

41:04 very disappointed by Dino DAN not correcting the DM about the flying dinosaurs bit. It's obvious they meant to say pterosaurs - although with the genetic shenanigans of the spider-Gallimimus and the multi-thumbed Iguanodon it would have been funny to see Stegosaurus using their back plates to fly. But the only flying dinosaurs we know of are still around today: the birds
