The only downside is when your snare and the need for speed kicks in but it's Soo slow!

I heard the 7th and 8th grade PEZ band play this. Despite them not doing great on their other songs, this one was amazing! My favorite band song ever is this, I hope to play it someday at a future band concert!

The story behind this song is just chilling I swear. It’s about the USS-Tang. The USS Tang was a submarine that was in the middle of the ocean in a fight with another ship (no clue if it was a sub or not) and the Tang fired a torpedo, but the torpedo’s guidance was heavily off, so it ended up turning around and hitting the Tang. The officers on board ended up ditching the crew, leaving them stranded at the bottom of the ocean (2:10) and then the engine workers just basically said “hell nah we’re finna dip” and decided to try and help escape the sinking sub (hence escape from the deep) the actual book escape from the deep goes more into detail though

Dude I loved playing this in band during my sophomore year! Probably one of the few songs I actually enjoyed playing! I might just print the music so I can play this on my flute again lol

I remember I was in early high school (grade 7) when we played this. The lower brass solo was one of the highlights of my time at band ( I was a tuba player). My conductor passed away recently and I come here to relect on what he did on my career. Thank you Timmins
