Research countries where USD goes the furthest and suits your lifestyle the very best. Ignore negative news about Africa - we're almost 3 years into living in East Africa and we're perfectly safe. Hi @goldenheart751. The stories you heard about people being scammed and killed are from West Africa. Go to east Africa and you'll find that people are very welcoming and peaceful. Now mind you, there are scammers and criminals in every place in the world, but the decent locals will point you in the right direction in terms of who to deal with and who to avoid.
