Now we are starting to love you more Your body's on the canvas I painted on the floor Now you wait, Like the drug, like the change in the pain it goes on For so long And oh, How it hurts in the worst way, now that you're gone, It's so wrong, it's so wrong.... If I could take you somewhere, I'd take you to the darkest place, scatter you in art forms, admire the whore beauty in different ways, your hands on picture frames your eyes in the glass wear your face as a mask Now they are starting to love you more a gallery of your beauty, no charge at the door As you wait, Like the drug, like the change in the pain it goes on For so long And oh, How it hurts in the worst way, now that you're gone, It's so wrong, it's so wrong.... And down below your veins run dry your vacant eyes I lost control your face is pale, your body's cold And down below your veins run dry your vacant eyes I lost control your face is pale, your body's cold (your face is pale, your body's cold) Wait, Like the drug, like the change in the pain it goes on For so long And oh, How it hurts in the worst way, now that you're gone, It's so wrong, it's so wrong... Jesus Christ, those inhale/exhale screams that are extremely faint in the background of the final chorus, really take the song home. They’re so guttural and dark. Almost like somebody is being strangled or is drowning. Be it literally or metaphorically doesn’t matter in its intent. It just sets the atmosphere of the whole song off perfectly! 💯

I think Dying Is Your Latest Fashion was the best album of ETF, but imagine what would have happened, if Ronnie stayed in the band. We still have Ronnie now in FIR, but never have discovered the talent of Craig. And when you think of FIR, I wouldn't want ETF to develop in this direction. The Drug In Me Is You was a really good album and partially Just Like You too, but what what Ronnie did in Fashionably Late or Coming Home was quite a musical crime, so I'm glad, that Dying Is Your Latest Fashion exists, but I would have missed all the other albums of Craig's ETF.

This song reminds me of a heartbreak I had with a girl who didn’t see a future with me because she was Muslim and I wasn’t so we had to keep our thing lowkey, I knew she didn’t have as much feelings for me as I did for her but I continued to put myself through hell to get that rush and feeling of being “loved”. This is the song I played when I was so angry I broke and destroyed stuff in my room and had a breakdown because I was holding back how I felt for so long and couldn’t tell anyone , it’s like she was dead and wasn’t even real , especially when the bridge kicks in during the song “and Dow below, your veins run dry your vacant eyes,I lost control ,your face is pale your body’s cold” I just would sob on the floor knowing I could never be with her in the future and I was watering a dead flower, knowing she is gonna have a arranged marriage. now that I cut her off I thank ETF and all my old emo songs for getting me through that turmoil and pain even after my emo phase ,forever emo lol
