Richard is quite entertaining. Along with our wonderful Johnnie, they gave a few good laughs! No idea why they don't ask for ground level sleeping, but I took loved the mystery main floor and yard.

I never understand why elderly / retired people would be shown all houses with so many stairs in and out. Happens so many times. In a few years it would be a nightmare for them to move around.

I am 77 and 2 of my good friends fell in the last 2 weeks. Neither on stairs but that would have made it worse. Both had to go to the hospital. I have a ranch home with a full basement and I rarely go down the stairs. The buyers need to think about getting elderly.

Jonnie a pleasure as always. But I will never understand why a couple in their late 70s won't specify ground-floor living, including at least an option for a ground-floor bedroom. I don't think it's up to the show to switch to a bungalow if they don't ask but - why do they not ask when they already now have some issues with steps? Instead they consider the mystery house which has no ground-floor anything?! I found house #2 beautiful and the garden was lovely. And it would give them the option of ground-floor living.

yeah....I have seen so many of these episodes. If I had the cash I would have bought several dozen of these homes already. I think England is amazing. I could drive 4 hours and be across the country and be in a totally different environment, or just stay locally and enjoy a walk on one of the many footpaths. I wish I could move there!

I've watched this show for years, nearly every episode. I'm wondering if there are just so few homes in the country with ground level bedrooms with en suite, perhaps they all just assume the will walk stairs to bed until their dying day😮

This was one of Jonnie;s best! The mystery house stairs at the front would be a turn-off with bags of groceries at their age? Forget it!

I loved the 1st house, great curb appeal, south facing garden, modern with clean lines, beautiful layout, spacious with 6 bedrooms, and a great price too.

At their age they won't be wanting to walk up or clean a 3storey home. I'm surprised they didn't ask for a bungalow but I guess alot of people enjoying walking up the stairs to go to bed. Sometimes it gives a sense of safety also. I'm 61 with mobility problems and I'd love to have a 2-3 bedroom home bungalow with everything on the same level. My priority is to have a big kitchen-diner- living area with a laundrey-larder right off the kitchen. I'd love a snug/study too, to create a separate space for my husband who enjoys his sport and merits a room all for himself. 2 bathrooms are essential with one being exclusive to the master bedroom... a small terraced or lawned garden is all we need, just enough to let the cat out and we can continue with our BBQS. We have our 3 story terraced home on sale here in Italy and are just waiting for a sale to find our last comfortable home that will meet my specific heath needs now. Hope these guests will find their last home which they will enjoy with their kids and grandkids!

What is wrong with a bungalow? Knees and backs are the first joints to go. (Stairs are the enemy)

I'm a lot younger than this couple but I've been in a one-level home (OK not totally we do have a large basement) and love it. I'm sure I could get used to stairs again (we have stairs to basement and also about 20 steps to get outside to the garden cos we're on a hill) for upper bedrooms but honestly I love everything inside the house being on one level. Maybe this couple think one level is 'too old' for them personally or they enjoy the free exercise of an upper floor. I liked House 1 a lot and 2 as well (loved the in-village location), Mystery was good too - (front steps are like my back steps lol).

Im surprised by this couple I thought they were going to be another difficult hard to please pair but Jonnie has done his work..well done Jonnie (RIP darling)... but Mary your mystery house...no room to throw a ball for the dog...you are moving to the country my dear there is all the room in the world to throw that ball and isnt your hubby going to take it for lots of walks, it might prefer a rest, although there might not be much room for the children, but again step outside your property and enjoy the countryside with your family... Hubby appeared to have a slight walking problem how will he manage the stairs as time goes on? Im always surprised when people in the UK 'downsize' or move to the country then they buy a 2-3 storey home...havent a clue what they think if they move to Australia where the majority of homes are one one floor..

Who needs SIX BEDROOMS in your retirement years? We bought three bedroom thinking our adult kids would come and visit and need a bed....did not happen. That mystery house had WAY too many stairs for aging or a disability-BE AWARE...Also its hard to heat a home over garages and its noisy.

Throwing a ball - over and over and over - is better than nothing, says a dog, but boring. Dogs are deliriously happy with walks with lots of different smells, and some running on trails,
