When I'm not making videos for Abroad in Japan, this is where I spend as much times as I can. I've never made an ambient video such as this before, so I haven't a clue if anyone will watch it. In many ways I made it for myself to stick it on in the background while I edit or if I'm having a bad day. But I hope to do a few more in the coming months and if there's a type of location you'd like me to feature, let me know! I'm open to ideas. For now though, enjoy the video. Hopefully, you'll be able to find the peace and relaxation you're looking for. ***Whenever I've been stressed this year I've found myself revisiting this stunning location, nestled amongst the luscious rice fields of north Japan, with Mount Chokai - the tallest mountain in the region - looming in the clouds overhead. If you find yourself looking for an escape from a stressful day, launch this video on your nearest screen, turn the volume up and let the sound of the stream, the cicadas and the gentle breeze whisk you away to the Japanese countryside - just for a short while.***

I loved the breeze moving the leave. I was project manager for replacement of a natural channel irrigation ditch about this size with a concrete channel, the people living nearby complained that they wouldn’t be able to hear the water, so we imbedded large stones in the bottom to replicate the natural channel and keep the natural sound of water flowing over stones . I call shenanigans. Ok, Chris didn't actually say it was one long 30 minute clip, but I started out assuming it was. I sat here listening and watching what should have been a very relaxing video but kept thinking, something isn't right. In 30 minutes time the clouds never moved. Then I started becoming very unrelaxed and watching the rhythm of the water and the grass swaying, and it was the same over and over again. It seems like it is a two second clip repeating itself. It's spliced very well and now that I know, I can enjoy it and not feel like I'm experiencing a glitch in the matrix :)
@kiiturii4 жыл бұрын
its so well cut it's insane. You'd think that it would be really easy to see the point where it resets but nope edit: ahh I see, the grass goes a bit blurry right as it resets so you cant see a hard cut. Impressive
@_PM__4 жыл бұрын
@@kiiturii It really is impressive considering how short of a clip he used. I'm guessing it was about 2 seconds long. I think he centered on the flowing water as it is seamless. It just happened that after a couple seconds the water was perfect for repeating the clip. The water is also the place where most people would center their attention as it more active than the gentle sway of the grass and tree branches.
