They were building a Pagoda. When I was first watching your video, it made me suspect that to be what it was, but when I saw a better view and the steeple type point for the roof that confirmed it. Pagoda are pretty common as far as Buddhism is concerned outside of Japan, especially in Cambodia and Thailand as well I believe. Though to my knowledge that would have been the only Pagoda in Japan, especially at that scale had they completed its construction.

HI! Could you please do a show about the Philospher's Path in Kyoto? It's pretty interesting, and you could do a bit of history about the small canal there being connected to one of the first hydroelectric power plants in Japan...

Chris, the hydrometer does not measure temperature, it measures humidity. That 75 was 75% humidity. The temperature was on the left side.

Connor actually compared Japanese convenience store fried chicken to fried chicken in other countries as though he was making a valid point. Convenience store fried chicken is the worst fried chicken in Japan.

Love unagi and was sad to see the price of it in my area going up, but if it's normally 20$ in Japan, I won't feel so bad that it's 16-18 where I live now. It's worth that price but I don't get it a lot because I feel it's expensive for the amount of food you get but I'm NEVER disappointed and I'm not even in Japan. 10 years ago it was like 13-14$ such a steal for how good it is... Very underrated.

Typical selfish dinc. Cry about the crisis of the Japanese birth rate and then just be cool with being a selfish person who won't try to replace themselves in any way. Just play it off as cool bro. Not an obligation or anything lol.

I'm honestly getting sick and tired of EVERYWHERE you go, it all LOOKS THE SAME. There are nothing but depressing grey boxes everywhere you go that could literally be in any country in the world. Rather than build beautiful works of art like WE USED TO, they are now just building whatever is CHEAPEST, QUICKEST and EASIEST and they do so with the attitude of to hell with making it look pretty and that it will just be torn down in a few decades to make room for YET ANOTHER boring grey box. Everything is moving towards "replaceable" rather than "conservation".
