I disagree. I’m currently living in Manhattan. There’s indeed a lot of luxury in NY however there’s a lot of dirt as well. I would rather say the city of luxury is Singapore, Dubai, Monte Carlo or even Tokyo.

This type of music used to be heard on multiple am stations in my area of Trenton and Princeton, New Jersey. Always on the overnight shift midnight to 5am. For a tiny city, Trenton once had many stations! Memories

When I was I around 12, my family and I made the move from New York City, NY to Los Angeles, CA. I had longed to live in LA since i've always heard that the west coast is amazing and has all the best stores and street fashion. I loved it there (still do love LA) but after awhile I got used to it and longed to go back to NY. Recently I had a break (2nd yr of college) and took that time to stay for 3 days back home in New York. It was absolutely GLORIOUS to be back in that "tourist state" where everything is amazing and interesting, just like I had been when I first moved to LA. Same for you. I wish we had a good jazz station here in Houston, like you guys in NYC. I always tune to 91.3 MHz , from Prairie View Texas A&M University. New york is an awesome big city it has an awesome view of tall big city skyscrapers from the sky that show hiw big it is and how awesome looking it is but inside new york there are a bunch of neighborhoods that are really just a bunch of small towns that are tight nit and have barbershops local restaurants and stores and all those little towns of new york City make up the city that is so giant and booming and all that good stuff
