🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

This whole series has been a good example of how government practices & mentalities don’t always represent the views, feelings, & attitudes of its people. There are so many kind, friendly, open, giving people who live in countries where they have to live with attitudes, rules & edicts that go against or don’t represent their personal values. Just because a government is corrupt it doesn’t mean the people are, I know where I live that’s definitely a sentiment much of the public shares. I appreciate Sonny being so honest & open. I also am thankful he didn’t let the bad experiences taint his perspective & kept searching for the positives!

Sonny, as an Egyptian I have to say thanks for not giving up. You gave us a good quality series despite the challenges. I loved the filming, the interactions and the optimism. The music was also on point. Props to you and your team. I was really hoping you'd be back again if things get better but I can't really blame you. Wish you luck in next adventures. Rural people are usually nice (imo) because 1. They live in small communities so making trouble is always going to comeback to bite you and 2. Usually they have limited internet access so communication with the outside world isn't all too often (plus they get to avoid all of the drama and their emotions aren't being oversaturated by media)

@@ferraricarpaccio1811 I’m not sure where you’re from, but it sounds like you’ve lumped all Americans in with places like NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, and LA (California). That is a TINY portion of the US. I’ve been all over this country, and traveled abroad, and even in those seemingly “rude” places I have rarely encountered rude people. However, most people in the US are hardworking, friendly, helpful, and downright caring. North Carolina, Kentucky, West Va, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Nevada, San Diego- not to mention Georgia and South Carolina- from one end to the other there are millions of kind people with good souls and open hearts who welcome strangers… exactly as Sonny has shown all over the world. The US is absolutely no different. Peace

@Jacko Sargs You say that like the police in the west are much better, they are just less blatant about bribery. The people in these less well off countries have a viable reason to accept bribes, as their pay just isn't even enough for them to survive. While in places like the US where police STILL take bribes(even though they get paid more than enough to survive, it is purely greed). Its just hypocritical saying you wouldn't have these problems in the West, as there are still many many gangs all over the west.

My favorite part of this series; when you spent time with actual people, true Egyptians, they treated you with a manner of respect. This episode in particular. I wish the police and government interactions you had would not have distracted from the moments like this, but you wouldn't be able to tell the story of YOUR Egypt trip without them. Every interaction in this episode makes me want to spend time there, but knowing all the other events that transpired really cements the "Yea, no." for me.

I don't believe so and thus don't think it's Haram. It'd be like saying it's ok being governed by the devil and don't fight against him. Maybe that's what these rullers don't want you to think. To be fair most flagship smartphones really have impressive camera that most people might not be able to tell the difference. The limitation of these phones are generally on low light (which is already pretty capable) and limited camera controls like aperature for example. But at the end it is the skill of the user that matters the end, not the tool.
