These guys have the parts you're looking for! www.jandjautow...
Detail Dudes: / detail_dudes_316
My 2004 GMC Envoy XUV is finished! I bought a very broken XUV with all the common failures and we've got it all working like it did 17 years ago. It's time to give it the finishing touches, try to program key fobs to the wrong car, and install the ultimate oil, Motul. I also gave it the full BG treatment. The car is getting detailed and it'll be off to a new owner.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Common Questions:
What motorcycle do I ride? A few. Ducati 1198, Honda Goldwing, Honda Grom, Honda Ruckus
What do I do for a living? Make KZbin videos.
Can you wheelie? No, I suck.
Are you fast? Sort of. I suck mostly though.
Where can I keep up with you off the bike?
Instagram: WatchJRGo
Facebook: WatchJRGo (or JRGo, FB hates my branding)
Do you go to school? College, for 2 classes.
Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

If you still have the old roof parts you should take the loops from the rails used to secure items and put them where the bolts are so that whoever buys this will have 8 instead of just 4. I wish I had more for my XUV so I wouldn't have to move them when securing items. Thank you for these videos!

On a side note i watched the Motor Week tv show about 20 years ago test the additive Restore with a compression test and it added compression. John Davis said i can't believe a product has actually done what they claimed. So i've been using it on my older vehicles since then and it has helped.my old truck run without bogging down under load. FWIW. Bought an older Pontiac recently and might try the EPR to clean things out as well.

JR, did you know that there was an optional tent package available for these as well as a dog package to allow you to harness your dog to the tie down hooks in the back? I have tried to find the tent package for my XUV but as you have said, it's hard to find parts, etc. for these. I hope you show us the detailed results. I love mine even though the parts are scarce. My 05 5.3 V8 XUV was fantastic. Tons of luxury options, ran great. Displacement on demand made for great highway mileage. You wouldn't believe how tough these engines actually are. My wife went to Walmart to get the oil changed in her Envoy, and they drained it and never put any oil back in it and let her drive it away. Within a block of leaving the store warning lights were going off, and she drove it back to Walmart and had them check the oil. There was no oil in it of course and the rings were shot that quick. Walmart says since she left the parking lot they were no longer responsible but went ahead and filled it with oil anyway, you know cause they are such nice people. So a few months later I change the oil myself and we leave for Orlando Florida the next day from Kansas. We drove the 27hr trip straight through without ever shutting the car off and when we pulled into our condo in Orlando the oil pressure needle swung like the pendulum on a grandfather clock. I shut it off and checked the oil and it barely hit the dip stick, it had burned 71/2 quarts in 1400 miles. So I went to autozone and bought everything to do an oil change in their parking lot. The Envoy was running great and we put another 2000 miles on it coming home. I sold it a year later with 105k miles on it and that person has put another 30k on it since then and it still running strong.
