neon mechanic and owner for over 10 years here. you are wasting your money on iridium plugs on the 2.4L turbo engine. NGK 4306 are the best plugs to use. Gap them to .32 for a stock turbo setup. if you increase the boost spike to over 22psi and get spark blowout, drop it down to .28. this will save you ton of money on plugs in the future. i get all 4 plugs at O'Reilly's for $13 and I change my plugs on my built neon every oil change cause its so cheap. hope it helps

Loctite in Canada is blue or red. Blue will require a wrench to break loose and red requires a blow torch to break loose. My dad who was a farmer look at it like blue is temporary and red is permanent. Hope that helps. 😊👍

Compression test , Vacuum Test (Smoke) , Check Codes. And break out box with Ohm meter tester to check out to make sure the modules are right and communicating . Don't forget Fuel pressure. Live data on fuel trim. You will be money a head.

Sounds like Eric has AFIb? I have had that for 25 years on and off….8 heart ablations 1 maze procedure … mine really knocked me flat when it went full on. Take it easy and follow all the rules like taking meds at the same time each day. Mine has calmed to the point that it only occurs if I don’t take my meds religiously, and it does not come on as hard as it did in the past, just an occasional flutter that lasts a few minutes. 👍🏼👍🏼

I had a-fib after getting a mitral valve replacement. It eventually calmed down. Got a pacemaker at 52 after passing out on the Interstate at 70. Felt myself going, headed for an exit, my wife stopped the car. Woke up and felt like nothing had happened.

If you have irregular heartbeat, start taking magnesium glycinate. Solved my issue within 20 minutes. Lots of deficient people out there! Champion automotive plugs are trash. Worked in an auto parts store for years. Very low end quality.

What you pulled out of there was actually good. I had a project one (N/A engine) that when I pulled out the plugs, the center part of the electrode (the nub part - the actual name is escaping me at 0315 when I typed this) was worn down to the ceramic. How that engine was still running at all is beyond me.

Helped a determined individual replace head gasket and broken timing belt on one of these he bought cheap. Even after replacing crank seal twice, it profusely leaked oil. The seal was being pushed out. Further reading suggested a common issue with bad thrust bearings causing excessive crank endplay. Yikes. Despite my best efforts to talk him out of buying it in the first place, and his best efforts fixing it, that was where he finally called it quits after all that work.

The 95 Neon coupe I had the plugs had been in for 80k and they had 80 thousands gap and it ran great till it didn't when it was cold. Replaced the plugs problem solved. You didn't have to pull the intake. Neon had a lot more room and was laid out better.

In Germany the PT Cruiser was avaiable with the OM646 2.2 4 Cylinder Diesel out of the C-Class. I remember how I met somebody at the gas station who had swapped the rear seat with an extension tank filling it with Diesel😂

The PT Cruiser Van in The Netherlands was certified as a truck for road tax and CO2 tax avoidance. It had metal panels instead of rear windows and no rear seats.

My grandma had 1 and it came with everything down to a sunroof and turbo 2.4 but she didn't like the automatic so my grandfather sent it back to have the 5 speed installed and clutch upgrade years later and i mean years I finally got to drive it and it had a newer clutch stage 2 I think and me and my cousin turned the boost up a bit and that cruiser was rowdy as heck no lie I had fun messing with it

Made in Mexico is one problem second one year interior on the convertible. However the wagon is decent in snow especially with winter tires and yes i did plugs and wires and yes the intake removal is the only way. and i could look up the torque specs but i don't have my Haynes manual on me but I do know it's inch pounds.

I don't like to hate on cars but the PT's were crap. I worked with a poor lady who got scammed into repairing hers and after paying twice it's value in repairs it drove for about 2 days. I literally had to find her a reliable car she could afford. She now drives a 2006 Camry and no breakdowns. So i really don't like them, lot of people stranded by those turds. Engine swap you say ? that i would like. Good to see Eric ! magnesium and COQ10 for the win ! and keep your BP down, low salt, clean diet.
