This is exactly the kind of videos we want to see. We love seeing the lesser known areas of Japan and especially Tokyo. Thanks for this.

❤We have been waiting for this type of video and are glad you are doing it !! Over tourism in some areas is taking away much needed income from rural Japanese family run businesses. Your video such as this will help them for sure ! Thanks from Florida USA !

I was in Jiyugaoka with my Japanese Friend in 2014, this triangle stations are awesome... i was there for the little temple where you can go under the earth for the path of the 100 buddhas and nearby is a nice path along side a little river, i was in little venedig too, it was better in the past. Todoriki Ravine Park was wonderful with this temple and Kuhonnbatsu as well :)

I love a series of escaping from the tourist crowd. Thank you very much. Next month I will stay at a hotel near Sugamo, because the area around the famous temple (巣鴨とげぬき地蔵) is called "Harajuku for the Grannies (おばあちゃんたちの原宿)", right? So exciting! You should definitely go and explore there, too.

I would never imagine that such a peaceful areas exist in Tokyo with the nice temples and so much nature. Of course if there is greenery there are mosquitos, as well, but one must sacrefice something to enjoy such a lovely scenery. The breads you have found are really special and on the other quality level compared to elsewhere outside Japan. Thanks for such a long and romantic stroll ending in the residential city just 15 minutes away from central Tokyo. I remember some time ago you had a livestream from there with some uploading problems. Hoping you might be lucky to catch some fine day before the rainy season for visiting Nikko. Looking forward to it! GAOOO....

thanks rion for featuring jiyugaoka!❤️ been there several times and i love that area! actually, there’s a lot of small, nice local restaurants and shops around and near Jiyugaoka station. the look of the area really has that little italy feels and far from what you see in the touristy places like shibuya, etc. that’s why i love coming back to Jiyugaoka for short visits. i also love the cute peter rabbit cafe 🥰

If you have it in Japan, try using lavender spray or citronella against the mosquitoes instead of chemicals, that works well here in Florida.

I love anything with red bean! 😋 Thanks to your local adventures, I knew about Atami’s Butter An, so when they had a one-week pop-up shop in Tokyo Station, I was so grateful to grab one since I had no time to visit Atami itself. Oh yea, the rain could be such a pain 😖 but because of it, beautiful hydrangeas are blooming everywhere 🩷💜💚
