Merry Christmas! Anyone have any fun holiday plans? We're excited to be staying home this year and will mostly be relaxing, reading, and eating. It'll actually be our first Christmas in our house since we bought it! And here's your final reminder to get one of my prints before the store closes for a year: adventureartifacts.com -Tristan

Just lovely!! You remind me of wisdom I heard long ago about the importance of remembering that we are 'human beings' rather than 'human doings'. Time in nature serves me well with its nurturing of my human beingness. So glad to have that in common with others. And grateful for you, Tristan, for how you share and inspire others! Merry Christmas!

Tristan! I was on the survey crew that did s first order survey of the Idaho/Canada/Montana border in 1978! We saw the woodland caribou! The herd ran right past us! We met with wildlife biologists for the forest service the next day …first observation in years! Thanks for the memories!

Well, Merry Christmas and happy new year! I look forward to watching your videos every Saturday morning after breakfast with a nice cup of coffee. I love your decision to limit the music and just utilize the natural audio of your hike. My favorite part was at the 9:04 mark; such an epic drone shot! I also wanted to let you know I received the Polaroid picture and sticker in the mail the other day and I love it!

What a great hike you got to do! You're right about the Selkirk range, if you're ever back in Canada the most dramatic scenery is between Golden and Revelstoke. And then there's a road that goes north of Revelstoke for almost 2 hours to the Mica Dam. Absolutely stunning with numerous logging roads off of it with the most bear droppings I've ever seen 😅

The theme is fitting for this time of year where we can take some time to slow down, relax and reflect on some fundamentals in our lives. Thank you for bringing that spirit into this video. Refreshing! Love the content, yes, but also the variety you bring to your channel, that inspires me too. I make a patchwork quilt of a life and the memories never stop. Want to tell you, I especially like the moments of reflection at the ends of each episode, where you get us into the habit of reflecting, of consciously digesting what we've just done together. You don't just recap it or break it down into bite-sized pieces, we recognize meaning and grace. I love it. The way you bring things into context, perspective, that you don't just point out things of interest on your channel. That's worthy. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your family.

Thanks for the video Tristan ! The mushrooms at 16:03 look like a black horn of plenty or Craterellus cornucopioides, or , is one of my favorite edible wild mushrooms. You have become an expert in all of your hikes and travels, the videos are very inspiring seeing the places you have been I wonder though how your wife feels about your lonely trips and hikes in the forest and hoping all is well. Do you talk with each other how each day has been, hope you do. Great footage as usual of the drone and yourself which you have to go back and forth retrieving your tripod and camera. Have a great holiday season and thank you for the work you do. Cheers from Oregon.
