I myself have only been riding for four years. Now at 70 I enjoy riding solo most of the time to the point I spent $100.00 to have a 3" square patch that says "Solitary Man" with a lone figure on it to place on my vest. Riding is my church and to marvel at the beauty of this country, and yes, I've met alot of great people like you when I met you in Oconomowoc on your veterans ride and I was able to donate to a good cause. Ride safe my friend.

Wow! Our Roots are valid, aren’t they?! I will be watching this one several times, one of your best videos I’ve ever enjoyed. THIS is why we ride, that genuine community and hospitality, the conversations enjoyed along the way, the neat finds you experienced here. It’s emotional to see this stuff, when you’ve lived and enjoyed it first hand. We love our group rides, our endurance/iron butt rides, charity rides, but nothing beats riding solo or with one other, to slow the pace down, stop when you’re moved to, ride as far or as short as you choose to, day to day. These are must sees out riding. Man this is soooo good and you looked like you were truly in your wheelhouse; those are your people, my people! Thanks brother!

I've rode "lone wolf" for years. It's your ride and you go at it your own pace. See a road, wonder where that goes? See a restaurant, dinner or bar, wonder what food they have? Group riding someone always rides faster or doesn't want to travel another road. Plus l9ne wolfing it there's no time frame to get where you're going. It's just you and the road. Have fun guys that's the main objective😊

Thank You Mr. Adam for the recall! I'm getting old! 12 years ago my youngest graduated high school and went to seek their fortunes and those little Texas towns haven't changed. I loaded up my Road King and left for a year of riding. A year and half later i rode back over my cattle guards and to home. Along my way I had three breakdowns and the luck of the Irish. As I found lodging and work each time with contractors that could put this old carpenter to work also. I made my repairs, moneyed up and got back to seeing America without anyone else's schedule or opinions! The motorcycle, no matter the brand is the greatest ticket to the world! Sending your family love and appreciation and of course, You are all in my prayers Hoka Hey

I can tell you from personal experience as a black man who rides solo cross country every year--Being a solo biker also breaks down ethnic barriers. I've had random people who were total strangers offer help when they thought I needed it, tell me their life stories, and interact with me like they've known me their whole lives. These occurrences have happened in areas of the United States where I know people wouldn't normally be that friendly to outsiders. They also wouldn't approach if I had been in a group. I camped out at Lake Amistad just outside of Del Rio. There's a general store/bait and tackle shop called Hookers. It also doubles as a Karaoke bar at night and brings in quite a few people. The absolute most friendliest spot full of regulars that hang out there on a daily basis. Maintained a base camp at Lake Amestad and went over the border to hang out in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. Had the time of my life with the Sergeant of Arms of an MC. Again, a total stranger that I befriended and we hung out for drinks at a local bar there.

I've found that my solo long distance trips seem to be more memorable and relaxing than traveling with others; I do like riding with others, but it's just not the same. When solo, I seem to get approached much more often by people wanting to know where I'm from, where I'm going, how long I've been on the road and how many miles I've done; so many people want to hear a story and share theirs as well; that just doesn't seem to happen as much when traveling with others; apparently alone you seem more approachable.

Great video. Going to add some of those places to the list. I too ride solo 98% of the time. Photography is a passion for me and I can stop as often as I want riding solo. I've had a couple of mechanical problems while riding across America over the past 22 years on my '98 Road King but always have found great people willing to help out a stranger from Arkansas. If I was in a group those meetings probably wouldn't have happened. Liking your new direction of video content. Keep it up!

Yes. If people would turn off their TV’s and actually get out in the real world. They would see that most people out here are very friendly, kind and helpful.

I think you are awesome brother I rode with you when you came to pocono HD on your last big ride it was truly a honor. I think a lot of this has to do with who you are everyone knows you I think if was me there I would be sleeping next to my bike in the woods. Lmao.

Isn’t toontown off of 473? If it is I have been there a few times prior to it being named. It was a work in progress. I was told by the owner and his daughter that it started on the 4th of July maybe it was Texas independence but it was during Covid when everything was closed. So they started selling hotdogs to people driving by. The last time I rode by it had expanded and I didn’t stop. I Will next time. They use to keep beer in a fridge in another bldg there. You would just help yourself and leave a donation. The OST has a great smoked pork chop and eggs breakfast. I live 30 minutes from Bandera. Moved out here for the riding. Be safe and have a great time.
