what is your ethnicity?
malaysian- chinese and black :)
what is the condition you're going through?
it's an iatrogenic condition called tsw (topical steroid withdrawal). it results from the extended use of topical corticosteroids, prescribed for prior skin conditions like eczema. tsw triggers withdrawal symptoms upon discontinuation, leading to severe physical and mental symptoms. tsw is inherently unpredictable, but complete healing is possible with time. unfortunately, due to limited research within the medical community, those dealing with tsw often rely on shared experiences from others who have gone through it and the insights of the few doctors and practitioners who comprehend the condition. as of now, there is no specific cure, and the healing process demands extensive time for the body to recover.
why didn't you go to college?
college isn't for everyone and we as a society should start normalizing it as a valid choice! I'm mullticreative/ entrepreneur and this field does not require a college degree :)

I hope your trip continues to offer you the space in nature so you can heal.Youve worked so hard for this! I've been on a similar journey for years and it's exhausting! I suffer from MCAS -essentially high histamine foods and trigger foods (only every superfood out there!). So many times I've given up and then finally surrender again until things clear up a bit. Rinse/repeat because I'm human and I love all the foods! Keep going!! Your journey is so inspiring!!

Hello. I have been watching your videos and have been going through. I am so sorry and can relate to you in so many ways. I have been diagnosed with a rare disorder called erythromelalgia or EM. It is a disorder that causes pain and along with it I get wounds on my legs that don't heal. I went through a wound clinic in a hospital and ended up with mersa. So bc of that I had to have medical grade bleach poured on my skin. I would be in so much pain I couldn't even talk. I had to quit work and recover from the treatment. You don't give up and keep going. Our scars are our battle scars fighting our disorders and we are winning bc we have endured. Proud of you. You are beautiful.

Honestly, I would recommend staying there for at least 6mos to a year…it’s more than just the medicine. It’s the air quality, the food (which is not real in America), the medial system, the JOB system which induces more cortisol making our internal issues worse…we don’t even get a lot of nutrients from the sun like ppl do in other countries b/c it mixes with the contaminants in our air….its so bad honestly.

Why did she quit using the steroids in the first place? Just curious. She said she has eczema. I'm surprised they wouldn't just keep her on the topical steroid continuously. It's also better to wean instead of cold turkey those types of treatments.
@whitsax
@whitsax Ай бұрын
The topical steroids began to be harmful to her. Though it was regular eczema that prompted the use of topical steroids,,when used continuously, and at increasingly more potent strengths, they stop working for some of us, and are indeed harmful. It’s not regular eczema anymore. It’s actually damage from the steroids. Topical steroids are not meant to be used longer than a week to 10 days, but many doctors don’t warn their patients when they prescribe, or the physicians themselves are not following that warning. At that point, more steroids will not help, no matter how much strong topical steroid you apply. Skin burns, swells, flakes, peeks, oozes, leaks, and causes pain unlike any other. Your body literally has to withdraw from its dependence on so much topical steroid use, and it can take years. Yes, years. Topical steroid withdrawal is a terrible condition to experience for adults. Unfortunately, children, babies even, can go through this, and it is heartbreaking. Be careful if you use any topical steroid, even over-the-counter.. Do not use it for more than 7 days, less if you can manage. It took me 4+ years to heal from it. During that long painful time, the only time my skin was not in pain was when I was in a bathtub full of water as high as I could fill, with Dead Sea salt or epsom salt dissolved in it. I would spend hours in the tub. I had to take a 4 month sick leave from work. I could not function. But I healed eventually, knowing each day was one day closer to healing. I also used dupixent injections when they first came out, and I was able to wean off of those in 10 months. Jada is a warrior going through this, and I wish her comfort in whichever way she needs until she heals!

Have a wonderful time! I’m curious, have you ever tried the carnivore diet, specifically the LION diet (beef, salt and water only)? Thousands of people have healed their autoimmune conditions via that diet. It may take a few months, but it’s worth a shot.

aww thank you!! and i’ve done research on it but i’m nervous for constipation issues aghhh ❣️
@raincoathaveli
@raincoathaveli 2 ай бұрын
You can't heal authimmune conditions. There is no cure, in part because our immune system is powerful and when it attacks itself every aspect of your health is negatively affected. The carnivore diet can be useful for a small period of time, but long term it is not healthy and will have severe consequences. Human beings are not meant to only eat meat like felions.

Sry about your skin...but use a moisturizer...LAMB TALLOW ( anti flammatory). i had breakouts on my hands back when i was 15 just like yours...my mother lathered me with lamb/sheep oil. Did that for a week. I never had it since. You need an oil that has no scent, no chemicals...just plain lamb fat grease. Lather and jump into your sweater shirt/pants, wear socks on your hands, feet ( anything that will keep the oil on your skin as well as heat to keep it from drying) every night. Crazy as it sounds, it may work for you. If you want to try. I swear by it, but do your own research. Make sure it comes from reputable vendors and organic if possible.😮 I would try a little on a finger first to see if your skin is fine with it before lathering yourself in it, just to make sure your not allergic...consult with dermatologist first ofc if you're going to try it. Also..skip the eggs, it may be causing your skin to break out. Until you heal your skin. When i still had it, eating eggs would make my skin worse. But good luck

@agustd6100

No its just from using steroid cream too much to treat your ezcema, at some point your skin thins out so much that you get this, TSW. It can take weeks to months or a year or two to heal. Theres not much research on this condition yet. To prevent it happening you need to just use steroid cream verryy verry sparingly if ever.
