Watching this 11 years later after she hosted Melodifestivalen 2009, Eurovision 2013, 60th aniversary Eurovision: Best Hits 2015, Eurovision 2016, Eurovision 2024.

Both her parents are ethnic swedes. My experience(I'm swedish) is that about 10% of all swedes have rather dark skin and dark hair like Petra. An interesting detail is that my mother looks like that. In the part of the country which she grewed up in, one third of the people have the same colors as Petra though green, grey or blue eyes. My mother is from the northern parts of the region "Dalarna". About 30 miles northwest of Stockholm. Petra is from Gothenburg though.

Thanks for the info. The impression in Britain is that most Swedes have blue/green eyes so when you see a brown eyed person with slightly darker skin, people get a bit confused
