The Ford Escort RS Cosworth is a rally version homologation special of the fifth generation European Ford Escort. It was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship, in which it competed between 1993 and 1998. It was available as a road car from 1992 until 1996. The powertrain was only fitted to this version of the Escort, a longitudinally mounted Cosworth YBT, a highly tunable turbocharged 2.0 L (1,993 cc) with a bore x stroke of 90.8 mm × 77 mm (3.57 in × 3.03 in) Inline-four engine[1][2] which had an output of 227 PS (167 kW; 224 bhp) in standard trim. Tuning companies have achieved power outputs in excess of 1,000 bhp (746 kW; 1,014 PS)

You should use some brake fluid or some red rubber grease to lube the dust seal on the piston when refitting 👍

BTW - Caterham use the Cosworth rear Brake Caliper. When the supply of new Caliper ran out, they had them remanufactured, so they may be a good source if yours are too far gone

Great video. I gave up when trying to rebuild my 4x4 cossie calipers. I couldn’t remove them circlips. Really tight clearances and little room to work in.

great video, the only thing i would add would be to line up those notches in the piston with the brake pad to stop the piston spinning when the handbrake is applied also, when you bleed the brakes make sure you follow the correct rear bleeding procedures or you will have issues, the handbrake is the very last thing you need to adjust
