You know you are in front of a true craftsman when he doesn't just get his work done - but also produces his tools! Impressive planning and executing, this build is so much more than just a good car build. Love it🙂

That's the same design as I built for an impreza that I built for drag racing and it worked fine.

Some pretty impressive engineering there mate, bespoke to a mk5 escort, you could hire that out when you’ve done with it and get your coin back, Imagine if you’d borrowed some shopping trolley wheels for the project to cut costs :) left us all in suspense to see the underside
@Tdevil86

Thank you mate, I’m stupid enough to probably buy another escort at some point so it’ll come in handy again at some point anyway I expect lol Shopping trolly wheels would have been ideal, and some of them have the wheel locks, ffs, wish I’d thought of that 🤦🏼🤣 Ever great show leaves you on a cliffhanger 😉 we all know it’s doubtful there will be any good metal underneath though lol

Instead of a tube between the jigs just use a ratchet strap on hooks. Then always pull them into position.
@Tdevil86
@Tdevil86 7 ай бұрын
Can’t say Iv ever seen anyone do it like that if I’m honest, I’m just going to popping some box section in there to keep the jigs square to each other and hopefully stop any chance of one trying to tip over…

Good job Terry! Nicely build, little in the front, does the standing post bend or just the camera angle....? Have been looking for rotissoty at home, Sweden, about 15-2000£..... but found on eBay for around 6-800£, in UK of course, you and your Brexit... But I will keep on searching....Hey GRATS TO OVER 5.000 SUBSCRIBERS!

Thanks Tony, I can believe I’m over 5k, it’s madness! Haha But no, no bend on the post mate, that is just the camera thankfully! You should make your own like I have, it saves a good chunk of money, especially if you’re looking at those sorts of prices over there, that’s crazy!! Only thing I’d change on mine is putting atleast 2 lockable caster wheels to stop it rolling around…

I heard once "There isn't an original thought on the planet", and now I'm starting to believe it. "Home Built by Jeff" Did a DIY Rotisserie almost identical to this a few years back.. not saying you plagiarized it or anything, just found it funny knowing that saying. For the record, Jeff's build was turned out really solid. Solid enough to load it, with an Alfa attached, onto a trailer and tow it somewhere. Which I thought was nuts lol. It made a two way journey unharmed tho iirc 😂 So you're onto a good one with the design, Terry. Just wanted to let you know lol Link to Jeff's build kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5vQf2uIbNeJe5Y Or search "DIY Rotisserie - Alfa Romeo 105 project car build part 5" Sick channel. Crazy builds, one man band, does absolutely EVERYTHING himself. Pretty much like you.

Thanks Nigel, I may do a little bit more on the Quattro escort and jump back on to the wrc rep and try to push that one through the finish line, otherwise it’ll take a couple of years to finish either if I’m juggling both…

@@starfox_wr-45e93 truth be told mate, I’m not sure, I’m not entirely sure if he’s going to be continuing with the wide arch thing anymore, he’s lost the love for it atm but I’m hoping once it’s back in the workshop he’s motivation might come back and he’ll get back into it, only time will tell on that one bud

fk me, damned impressive young man, if you ever get sick of cars, start taking commissions for jigs... watch that galvy, twice i have given myself the shakes [poisoning], not nice... keep it up, but don't burn yourself out young man, we await in anticipation...

Cheers Paul, I actually really enjoyed building the jig to be honest and certainly wouldn’t say no to building another should anyone want one. I did look into welding galv after and found it’s really not good to be breathing that stuff in haha so yeh, I think I’ll be avoiding that stuff in the future 😅 Trying to take a slightly more laid back approach now and just upload when I can rather than pushing myself to make it work fortnightly, it does definitely take its toll! It’s easy to get lost in this KZbin stuff though!
