Have the izula 2 for nearing a decade now. Never was a fan of simple carbon steels but the design is awesome. Shaved down the sheath to front pocket carry. Stripped the coating as it wore off in weird chunks. Now convexed but rusts so easily. Was looking for a long time for a good replacement.... ended up getting the s35vn izula . Nice stainless, fantastic design hard to go wrong

Great knives! I have an ESEE Izula II, with scales from the Knife Connection. It is my neck knife, along with a titanium whistle and a 4-inch firesteel, great setup! BTW: Izula is also known as the Bullet Ant, located in Central America. They are called "Bullet" ants because their bites hurts so bad people think it's as bad as being shot!

Hey Jiujitsu2000! Howzit, Bruh? I haven't seen one of your videos in quite a while and I love watching them. Your excitement about the Esee Isula is warranted. I just got mine last week and initially wrapped the handle in orange 550...my Isula is the olive green one. However, I did such a crappy wrap, just couldn't finish the wrap as nice as I wanted; so, I ordered the G10 orange scales for it and I wish I had ordered it in the first place. It is such an awesome blade and I included it in my Emerson Chest Pack which is now my primary survival kit. I mounted it horizontally on the front of the pack. The "back plate" with the metal clip can be mounted either in the vertical position for conventional carry or horizontally for scout carry which I prefer for small knives. When I need it the knife is right there in front of me. I used two velcro keeper straps to secure the knife so it wouldn't swivel. Also, I put a short length of 550 cord (orange) to make a lanyard which helps to stabilize the knife in my hand when I do fine work like making a spoon, spatula, tent stake or hanger for my pot over the camp fire. This is my first Isula and I placed an Esee 3 on my save list at Amazon. I may get another Isula and make it an ankle knife, just a thought. Great choice picking the Esee Isula...have fun with it! Great video thanks. Great thing about your knife is if the tip did brake you can send it back to be repaired or replaced for free. I ordered my Izula II and paid extra for the contoured G10 handle scales frm The Knife Connection. Anyone who wants a G10 handles the sell them separate plus they have the extended G10 handle scales that can increase the langth of the Izula I to the same langth as the Izula II. You will love your knife that much more once you put handle scales unless you are trying to keep the weight down for backpacking but since the handles come on and of you can have the best of both worlds.

The knife is small enough that I made a sheath on the inside of my belt. It lives out of sight, it's comfortable and the circle in the handle just peeks under the belt enough to grab easily. Holds an edge too.

Yep this is one of those live I've been watching reviews on KZbin of her a long time to be honest I wanted one of these knives for at least 4 years just don't have the extra $57 just laying around right now

8:53 If you got time and wood you could also just carve a wedge (stick can do too, or multiple sticks), then drive the knife into the log to create a crevasse to put the wedge (or wedges) in, and then shwack it with a big stick n stuff.
