I’ll be going camping next weekend. I look forward to carrying this knife for the first time. If anyone is wondering, this is my knife and the new sheath is AMAZING!!!

Appreciate ya man! Have fun and you can keep it clean with soap and water, just make sure it's fully dried out before you resheath the JG5. 👍

Love Nessmuk styled blades. Would love to see ESEE do this in S35vn... LT Wright Camp MUK and or the Nordsmith Canteen Nessmuk knives are on my list when and if up for sale again...

@@TheNecronacht It's a design I'm just learning about now, so I'm late to the game, but so far I really like the style.

@@5MinuteKnives They're good for field dressing / skinning, food prep, camp utility, and EDC if you like a fixed blade as I prefer. I think a 4" style Nessmuk would be the sweet spot for me, especially if for EDC. It's certainly not great at bushcraft work, but could suffice at some of those tasks if required. But then, I've yet to find a great true do all knife. However, for my need and use, this style is on top of the list...

Your sheaths always look great. I need to start buying knives with junkier stock sheaths so I can give yours a try.

I wish the would put a sharpening choil on it and get the edge refined, it could be a first class skinner with a little refinement.

Nessmuck is the call name of George Washington Sears, aka Nessmuck. Nessmuck was an small man in stature but was an avid outdoorsman. He wrote a few books. Since he was a small guy he carried light and became the forefather of campcrafting and bushcrafting. He carried the nessmuck knife, a pocket knife, and a small double bit axe. He roamed the Adirondacks of New York and later in life Pennsylvania. He also designed a canoe as well. Currently the JG5 is out of stock in all the places I have searched for. I will carry this knife in honor of Nesmuck as I am from New York with the Adirondacks but a short distance from me.

I love the shape of the handle on this one but I don't like the shape of the blade. I guess I've never understood the humpback look of the nessmuk lol. If the esee 4 had that handle shape tho... That would be perfection.

I felt the same way but while making a sheath for a knife, you really get a feel for it and it great on me a lot. I'm still considering buying it (even though the blade shape hurts my eyes haha).

I need a kydex sheath that doesn't "trap" the blade and your website is down or gone.
