Well yeah but we shouldn't complain. These guys cant make even one buck on the mod. The devs are doing this because they're passionate about modding and providing a great finished game. Best we can do is support them and appreciate every amount of free unpaid hard work they pour into this.

You guys know what's crazy? ESF was my favourite game when I was 9 years old. I modded the shit out of it and it was very fun...Then when I was 12 I saw that a final version is in the making. I was like "Oh cool, hopefully It'll come out soon so I can play it!"...Bruh...I'm turning 20 in april...IT BETTER BE A GOOD GAME! :D

@@etamm1343 Well, from the looks of it. Fighting and character model wise this game is still pretty clunky. It might be a very good game when It's done but I doubt it will be better than DBZ Infinite World or Kakarot. I agree that Xenoverse was horrible.

OMG, I knew the maps were tweaked and some fancy stuff was done like 10 years ago to get maps like 10 or 20 times or more times larger but OMFG this is beyond incredible! Can you also fight outside of the boundary? That would be sick as fuck. I would love if you guys offered some advanced server/admin settings so people could tweak how fast people move, how much "ki" they have and how much is consumed. I would love to see the mod where you can have short, medium, and long or whatever, teleports again but have like much higher/efficient ki usage like in DMZ. I would love to be able to make a server where it was more faithful to the anime where you could use way more ki before having to power up again! That would be sick, so you could teleport all over the place and launching many many blasts before having to recharge ^-^ I understand why you have the frequent recharge periods but server owners should have the options to tweak game balance to their liking for maximum fun! There will be plenty of melee servers but we should get some high ki/beamer servers too!!! I remember playing with Napa (persons real nickname lol) and others on my own server in like 2006 where we all tried to get 4 or 6 people of like ~1 mil PL to get their final flash/Galick cannon/kamehameha blast into a single wave. It took a few hours but one time we almost perfectly nailed 4 or 5 people attacking my single final flash and damn did it looked fucking EPIC!!! IIRC, they over powered me. IIRC multiple weaker people did beat a single stronger person like 4x1 mil players together could over power like a 5 mil person or something and final flash was the strongest beam weapon in ESF back then. It was like a version or 2 before the new melee system that became the final version. I really need to get the money together and find some excuse to go and visit antisith and Dj-Ready in Germany again and see if they got a working version of this that I can play with them! Or maybe go with them to Harsen's place again so I can geek out and fuck around with this lol! I know they retired from the team (last I checked) but they are tight with Andrew lol. Miss all of those guys!!! AIM is down so have no contact with andrew anymore lol. I remember playing this game since its alphas and also DMZ and they both had their perks and have a special place in my heart like the rest of the mods! Really wish mechmod got fleshed out. That game would have been awesome. (the HL version. The source version didn't seem like my cup of tea.)

Mighty delayed reply, but it'd be easier to answer most of this in the discord, which we have. Most of your comment has been talked about a few times there. xD Such as short/mid/long teleports. We just use a charged teleport system. For example. Boundary collision was just disabled for the sake of the video to show how large we make the maps. Since the maps themselves have to function as the skybox now. So you need to build out beyond the boundary for the "background" you want.

@@macdaddymarioah that makes sense on how that works with size of map and sky box. I am shocked you guys were able to get GoldSrc engine to even support something like that. You guys should really do a technical tear down of how you guys accomplished all of this in GoldSrc! Since, you guys can make such massive maps in all directions. I wonder if you guys could make a kami planet map with a 3D planet in the middle of the map. I don't know if you can somehow make a center point of gravity inside the 3D planet but it sounds like the size of the map could easily be done. Leaving the gravity aspect the primary issue. I can't join the discord because of dumb censorship. Many places are so dumb my current in game name isn't even allowed let alone my avatar. So dumb. Changing my avatar isn't that big of a deal but changing my name is a none starter. It is a bridge too far plus with recent changes I can't even change my username since they are now permanently unique. Making a 2nd account is way to much work to deal with petty censorship.

Not an open world. The red wall that he flys through is our map boundaries. They were reversed on the map by mistake so he could fly out. Since we don't use traditional sky boxes anymore, the map needs to be made larger than the playable area, to give the playable area a background. He was showing how large you can make the maps if you decide to set your boundaries really far.

@@Garda9520 At this point, this is getting ridiculous and you cannot tell me that I am wrong. The game has been said to come out in 2017, it didn't, then it was sure to in 2018 and now we must belive that it will come out this year? Don't make me laugh, you cannot give an estimate so you just say "when it's done" because it's the most logical and the best kind of decision you could have. If you would have actually cared about the fanbase, you wouldn't have let a mere beta fuck you over the fact that a demo can't come out. This is why it's taking so long, you guys have no feedback and you expect to do it alone. The game can improve much more in terms of gameplay, and by now all I see is flashy graphics effects and transformation when most likely the combat system is really bugged and most of the hitboxes aren't even made to hit, lemme not get into the fact that lag input is going to be the biggest problem. You think having like 10 players to test the game weekly is best? Players can very much do so, and complain about things is all they do aka what you guys want "feedback" So having 10 players gather up for a simulation game every week is probs the worst thing you could do in my opinion.What I am saying is, just release the game already or a server for all players to test. It's obvious it's not gonna be complete and if 80% is still this bad, it's just not gonna work out. The hype is gone, it's over.

@@Codyslx Like sky said. Still Goldsrc (hl1). We use an almost entirely custom engine and use strings of Goldsrc to tie them all together. Without Goldsrc however, the game falls apart and doesn't work.
