Ill never forget when BC came out how freaking excited my guild was to try and figure out how to get The Ashbringer. I still think that is the biggest mistake blizzard ever made not including it in the expansion.. which was already the best WoW expansion ever. Anyways... they should definitely add it to TBC re-release. I don’t even care if it’s a change, it would be epic. Just make it very difficult. Also, Tales of the Past 3 explains all 😌

The ashbringer came after the silver hand was almost destroyed. The last few paladins formed the scarlet crusade and when the crusade's corruption was brought to light Maxwell Tyrosus and Darion Mograine left the scarlet crusade and formed the Argent Dawn.

In the server tbc 5man as too make paladins more viable in swp. You can get the ashbringer off a illidan drop if you are prot during the illidan fight . And it is amazing for paladins it also has a proc too apply curse of weakness on your target . If you kill kiljaeden a few times an upgraded ashbringer drops . Also enh shams can exchange warglaives for war axes that are amazing . All in the name of balance .

And curse of weakness proc makes no sense either... in the lore the weapon leaves ashes in its wake, not curses... so it should deal high amount of holy damage to undead/unholy creatures. And kiljaeden also has nothing to do with the ashbringer. Looks like some noob just put it in without any proper thought. This is why most private servers suck, the devs have no clue what they are doing.

The secret to getting the cleansed Ashbringer is you have to shield Mograine before he is struck by the lightning shock. I used to work at Blizzard and couldn't let this go unknown for any longer.

You know what's more tragic than the betrayal of Mograine? How Blizzard fucked up such an amazing story and developed into a greedy-casual-business-company. Usually I am not that toxic. But, I was so hyped from the very start of this video until the end... where you told us the big fail of blizzard "forgetting" to implement the Ashbringer in TBC; then glossing over their horrible mistake by claiming at Wotlk "It's too powerful for anybody to wield it"... and THEN giving it basically for free to everyone. It's like running a family company, your dad (the leader of the company) dies, handed over the reins to his son, and the son just destroys the whole family business... I mean, I re-rolled to a Paladin in Legion just because of the legendary ashbringer and I was just a little child during vanilla. But when everybody has a legendary artefact, it is no longer a legendary artefact. It is so sad how Blizzard keeps on destroying the magic of WoW.

I would love to see this completed in classic TBC servers in a Scepter of Shifting Sands style quest chain. Hell, I might even love it more if they stretch it into Wrath, and if you've done the quest up until then, Tyrion no longer appears with the blade, and maybe you even get to land the killing blow on Arthas.
