The juice in pieapple works as a tenderizer and the flavor counteracts the saltiness of meats. That's why a lot of people do ham and pineapple, because it's a salty meat that gets countered by pineapple. The juice also cuts against the grease in Pizza and makes it not taste as greasy when you're eating it. Pineapple and Mushroom was a bad choice though lmao. I needed to add a meat on there.
