I've been thinking for a while that it's so likely that a lot of things we call 'culture' is actually for a large part just caused by the average people who live there, rather than the other way around as is pretty much always assumed these days. These days so many discussions are about "cultures", while I think _nature_of the average people in a region create the sort of culture people of an area or country will have. For example, pretty much every cold country on earth is tending towards being orderly and individualistic and hot countries are quite non orderly and tending towards being group orientated (extraverted) an somewhat chaotic. Of course thre are parts of cultures that are not attached to the average person living there, such as for example religion that were often decided by the leaders and thus fall outside of this pattern. This pattern is even true for regions within the same country, if the country has enough distance between hot and cold areas. For example, in italiy there is quite a difference between the northern and soutern parts in terms of culture, order and all of these things and the pattern just repeats there. The colder areas are orderly, hardoworking and thus usually lower criminal rates, better economy than the hotter parts. Of course southern parts have advantages too, as the seem to generally have more focus on enjoying your day ("P"-ish) rather than making sure the whole to do-lists are done as good as possible ("J", cold country) To be clear, of course in no country not all people are of similar types. Its not that extreme, but in my view if the average is already somehat different, this will create a somewhat diffrent culture (or at least part of culture since it excludes language etc). In typing people these national or region differences may be less obvious because if you for example have 10 extraverts from a very extraverted country, there is an increased chance that the least extraverted person from that country would be mistyped as an introvert . Fortunately, the internet kind of gives us a better perspective how we are compared to other countries sinec it's world wide orientated, rather than just compared to the _other_ people of the _same_ country. However, still lots of people do nto speak international languages like english and do not engage much in the more global groups that communicate on the internet. As an example; If you imagine you could put 10 INFJ children where you knew it runs in their family to often be infj and 10 estps that were often that type in that famil on an island, both would likely eventuelly create a culture that fit with their type. The ESTP island would likely be more like southern countries (less orderly, more chaotic, enjoy the day) and the INFJ island would be more orderly and future focussed because that is what hig Ni tends to gravitate towards. The problem though with thinking about it is that people might call it racist cause it's out of fashion to even dare to think such things in 2024. However, while it's not a pleasant idea to think we miht not on average per country all have the same strengths and weaknesses, it might be true and I think it's more important to understand the truth than to make everyone feel good in that moment. Also, you can never really solve a problem if you do not understand (or dare to admit) the cause. And in a lot of cases I think the same patterns pop up everywhere, but the overarching cause of the actual reason is not seen. This creates a lot of conflict, since they keep blaming all kinda other things rahter actually adressing the actual cause. This blaming creates needless conflict among people and countries which does not seem optimal. _to be extra clear, with 'culture' in my comment I do not mean parts about a culture like the main religions or such things or customs or things like the kind of temples they used to build 2000 years ago . I mean the general vibe. Is it save, chaotic, orderly, crime, income and such things since some things like language are often just brought over from other countries_ While I do not always agree with OPS theories, I am glad they have the courage to involve observations related to biology and type. I find so many people are just closed off to such ideas since people are basically brainwashed into not believing these things since thinking that is somehow evil. OPS always mentions it casually, but maybe more people get used to the idea such things might be true (looks + personality are related etc)
