What brand are your pulleys ? Thats awsome

The one on the crankshaft was ordered from either Grainger or MSC. I can't remember which one for sure. And I think the one on the transmission was one we found in a box of misc. stuff at a flea market.

What carburetor exactly is it? Does the typical linkage work with it?
@EshlemaniaTV4 жыл бұрын
It is a carb off of an Onan P220. I think this came off a John Deere 318. There's also another version of this carb that has an accelerator pump on it.

That's about all we pull in my neck of the woods, but we run 18 x 9.50 - 8 tire. I'd put a pic up but it wont let me.

Which wheel horse has 16 horsepower twin in it
@mattsmith20722 жыл бұрын
The 516H had an Onan P216G, 518H had Onan P218G, and I have a 520H that had an Onan P220G I recently took off for a 440cc single cylinder. Those models I'm familiar with were from the mid-80's to the mid-90's.

Do you have sucess with turf tires for pulling?
@EshlemaniaTV2 жыл бұрын
On the harder packed down tracks, we do. But it also depends on the setup of your tractor. The tires on this 1057 are a nice in between tread that work well for the speed this tractor runs at. Around here the factory stock classes are the ones that usually run the more aggressive tread because they are running at a slower ground speed. In the classes above factory stock, we see more people running turf treads because they are usually looking for a faster ground speed with the hopes of that faster ground speed getting them more forward momentum to keep the sled sliding.

I use a 1978 1200 cub to mow over five acres every week pull logs out of woods for fire wood snow plow snow in winter. This thing is a total work horse. Going to retire it to become pulling tractor soon

That would actually be a 1055 a 1057 would be a hydro the 5 designates stick and the 7 designates hydro
@EshlemaniaTV4 жыл бұрын
Nope. Check into that one a little more. The 1057 was a gear drive tractor. If you look in the gear drive trans axle manual it even references it in the select few models that came with a bevel gear differential.
@pureblood31274 жыл бұрын
Your right in away Chris but the last number is the year 1057 10= 10hp 5 = gear driven 7 = 1967 Anyway that's how they named these bigger 60s models . They made so many different models it can be overwhelming trying to keep up with all the different number schemes they came up with over the years 👍
