I would check out those wires are doing , sometimes you get a little bit of a bind there. I have also found that the neck where the fan motor pivots can get a little bit stiff. A little bit of grease usually takes care of it. Or zoom spout if all else fails.

I'll get on the workbench and have a part 2 soon. I do have reasonable suspicion that this was probably a display model that was never used and was just a shelf queen. And all the grease and oil dried up.

@@EskieWolf I remember a problem I had on a later model air king. The oscillating arm was actually causing the bind. It was a little too short as I recall. I need to get after that one to see if I can fix that arm with the heat gun.
