Daaanke sehe ich genauso! Die Callboys hätten so gut wie keine Konkurrenz dieses Jahr gehabt. Die Lieder klangen dieses Jahr fast alle irgendwie gleich. Wobei man nicht weiß, ob Ukraine nicht trotzdem gewonnen hätte. Wir wären zumindest SAFE zweite geworden. Tatsächlich hatte ich persönlich auch den Eindruck, dass das Publikum vor Ort auch etwas gelangweilt war von den Liedern. Viele Leute die keine Miene verzogen haben, viele an ihren Handys oder einfach nur da sitzend, immer nur kurzer Applaus ohne viel Jubel. Ich kann es ihnen nicht verübeln bei einer Ballade nach der anderen schaltet jeder innerlich irgendwann ab 🤣😁

I'm an old metalhead, I was actually the age you guys are now in the era you're representing in this video lol. Grew up with Slayer and the earliest Death Metal bands, but was always into genre-bending shit like Maximum the Hormone. I travelled almost 500 miles just to see MTH live when they came to NA. If you guys ever come stateside, I'm there. I will continue to listen, admire, and purchase merch from afar in the meantime.

@@dreckigerdan8257 All I can say is if you ever get the chance, take it. I've been to dozens of live metal shows and MTH ranks up there as one of the most amazing I've ever seen. Pure fucking energy 100% of the time, and they played practically every song off Buiikikaesu along with a few Mimikajiru classics. I was used to watching them play festivals on their DVD's, and it was surreal to watch them do it live in a small venue (Best Buy Theatre in NY). They're also one of those rare bands that sound better live than on their albums, but I suspect the acoustics in the venue had something to do with that. Walked away from that show with ~$200 worth of merch too lol. They were sold out of shirts before the show even started. It was a small crowd, but MTH got a lot of love that night. I hope they come back some day.

@@Binichmoses2 Well, I can't recommend MTH enough. They range from metalcore to pop to screamo to punk to disco to deathcore to funk to whatever comes out of Ryo's twisted brain lol... No boundaries. The Japanese metalcore scene in general is a good place to root around. There is Babymetal too of course, but I don't fuck with them so much since Yuimetal left. Astronoid is good if you don't mind a little progressive. Loathe is good if you grew up with nu metal and don't mind it (I'm not such a fan of the nu sound myself, but Loathe gives me Deftones feels). ONI blends a lot different metal styles into pure brutal perfection. Ne Obliviscaris is worth a listen too.

I feel bad for these guys. This is the most perfect Eurovision song I’ve heard all year. Any broadcaster with any sense would have seen the reaction to this and, at least, put it in the national final (Moldova cancelled theirs and just selected Zdob si Zdub because of how they did at Eurovision the twice they went.) Unfortunately the German broadcaster evidently doesn’t care about doing well at Eurovision. It’s the same here in the UK. It’s why so many British acts tried for San Marino this year. Maybe these guys should do the same and try for a country that actually does care.

But true, they must've written a more tv-friendly lyrics version, however because of the harsh vocals it will probably be censored on the radio as well. In Sweden we had a song that was very popular in our competition (Dead By April-Mystery) and was severely censored on radio (aka they removed all the screaming vocals).

Just for the record: Not sending them to ESC was NOT the germans decision. It was the NDR (German regional broadcaster) and the Jury only! German people wanted to send them, but the higher ups said no. There was even a petition, but it was completely ignored. :( We are all dissatisfied with this...
