g4: zest underestimating opp after previous solid win. cheese doesn't work vs top players of a similar level. if you read it and still can't respond, it's not cheap; it's just the level gap is too great. micro and reinforcements at home is always easier than away. unless they have a lot better control, you should never fall to it. these two are some of the most brilliant pros i've watched. inno read perfectly.

incredible. g3: inno did great but it's tough when you're pushed on def against an opp at your level or higher. it seems obvious to us to build vikings but inno felt he had a small chance to overrun a toss that just tried warp drop and colo, assuming he'd be less mobile. zest's placement and cannons helped a lot until he got enough to establish a solid defense. at that pt inno lost. sometimes you have to choose one or the other to avoid a drawn-out game. if he secured his base, expanded, and went vikings, he might survive longer but end-game pvt is tough especially vs colo heavy toss with earlier expo than you

g5: perfect counter by zest to scv drill all-in. i don't even think it's a great idea in sc2 since ff can cover narrow ramps easier. it used to be so powerful in bw tvp

Both players made mistakes these games, Zest more than innovation, but zest managed to pile most of his mistakes in the games that he lost and kept the others pretty clean.

Does the SCV pull ever work? And don't people realize they are only useful if they are in front soaking up damage? And they are barely useful for that when your opponent has a ton of splash damage.

+wangchungman14 Yep. This game shows how Dts are broken. Even if DT don't kill any unit you have to scan for 260 minerals. But the point is Dts outside terran base always kill units and if you just dropped mules you are fucked, and if play bio you cannot afford raven.

I think sc 2's less popularity comes from heavy macro eco based gameplay In broodwar, player with more micro skills wins a game but in sc 2, whoever gets to 200
