Well, in prison, if anyone starts A fight with you, steals your stuff or just tries to push you around in general, then you absolutely SHOULD try to beat them down, even if you know you can't, because if you don't, it'll just get worse and worse as you serve your sentence, to the point that in some cases, you could end up being what they call A "prison punk" someone who's gonna get beaten, extorted, or even raped by most inmates, simply because they know you won't push back. If you do fight back, the odds of that happening drastically lower, because even if you lose that fight, it'll at least send all the other inmates A message, that if they do start something with you, they won't walk out of it unscathed.
