You may also need to go into the standard ESO settings to disable some of the vanilla combat text and overlays. I think one of the biggest offenders is the Ultimate overlay as all 3 have an option to display an Ultimate number overlay.

For those installing this for the first time once you choose ESO and find your AddOns folder it will send you back to the choose a game box, Just close down minion and restart it and it will now detect you addon folder and show the find more at the top etc.

I use one called Group Death Notifier that's incredibly helpful in dungeons and trials. It shows you a notification when your group members or pets die. You can customize it to only show certain notifications in trials vs dungeons, so if you only care that the tank or healer died in a trial, you can uncheck DPS in Trials, for example. Plus you can customize the color of the notification. A must have for my healers and DPS chars

So true - Harvest Map stopped working for one of my characters and in trying to fix it I've managed to break it for all characters now. Main reason I didn't include it in this video, something is broken or in conflict and I haven't figured it out yet.

A good one I like is Dressing Room. Is outdated but still seems to work fine. Lets you save mult skill bars/gear sets and swap easily with 1 button

Sometimes you need to right-click it in the taskbar (in the hidden menu) and reset Position. So open it and klick the icon in the taskbar until it disappears and look if it's in the hidden app menu on the taskbar and reset position.

In the Settings>Addons menu, look for 'LuiExtended - unit Frames' then open the 'Custom Unit Frames (Player & Target) section. You should have transparency options for Out-of-Combat there, set it to 0 and you should be good to go!

No reshade, but I am able to play with the graphics maxed all the way out. I also think I adjusted the FOV a bit from the standard and then of course the entire interface is customized with Azurah and LUI extended.

All the music in this video is straight out of the KZbin creator library. The background music for most of the video is 'Density & Time' by Pelagic. The intro is 'Kreuzberg Nights' by Futuremono and the outro is 'Lost Sky' by Dreams.

You should be able to do that with Azurah iirc. After you install it just type /azurah unlock in game and you should be able to move the notifications around.

Thanks! The green eyes are the 'Eyes of the Xivilai'. There's a similar set with non-human pupils called 'Anequine Oasis Eyes'. As for the pose at the 4-minute mark, I'm pretty sure that's /idle2 of the Deadlands Firewalker personality.

Hi I'm trying ESO for 2nd time, this time trying to do proper set-up at the beginning so I won't get discouraged when the grind starts. Is it possible to move resource bars from LUI? I can't find this option and they don't show for me in Azurah UI. Great video helped me out a lot!

Go into the main settings for LUI Extended, you should see an option to "unlock default UI elements". I believe if you toggle that you should be able to move around the custom LUI Extended elements.

I'd check the LuiExtended - Unit Frames menu under Settings. There are color options under the Custom Unit Frame Color Options tab and Transparency settings under the Custom Unit Frames (Player & Target) tab. I'm betting something is off there.

I was pretty sure it showed up on its own if/when you installed an addon that allowed settings to be tweaked there. Not every addon shows there though, so it must be up to the addon creator whether or not it does.

You may just have it locked. Look here: Settings > Add-Ons 2 > scroll down to Appearance section, turn OFF 'Lock Position & Size'. I always forget that it has its own position lock.

In most cases you can safely ignore the outdated warning. If addon creators don't push an update to change the version you'll get that warning even if the addon would still work perfectly fine.

That should be LUI Extended. Combat Text > Animation Options > Incoming Icon Position & Outgoing Icon Position: set them to "none".

Azurah should enable you to move them, but I use LUI extended to replace the defaults. If you do the same you'll need to go into LUI extended settings to unlock the custom elements.

I'm having a hard time using Minion. Is that the only way to use add-ons? I tried using it and everything comes up red.. I download the add on thru minion but I also DL the extras needed to run whatever add on and it still doesn't work.

You can always go to ESOUI.com and install them manually. If you're seeing red in the add-on menu in-game, expand the red addon to see if there's anything missing. Sometimes I've found that there's a library not mentioned in Minion that is required.

Some of us play with xbox controllers and not all addons are controller safe. Do you have anything to say which of these are good or not to use with controller? I'm always unsure about even trying most of these because the creators notes will often say that it's unsure if it's controller compatible or not.

You're in luck! I just finished setting up my controller so I can test. Azurah, LUI Extended, Skillpoint Finder, Votan's Minimap & Map Pins - you can't customize these with a controller so you'll probably need a M+K to get setup, but afterwards you should be fine with the controller. If you use Azurah to modify the compass, gamepad mode will keep the size adjustments but will move it back to the top of your screen. Code's Combat Alerts seems to work just fine and there's little to no customization required so I think this is fully compatible. I assume it's the same story for Auto Recharge & Repair, but I haven't verified yet. Perfect Pixel, TTC, & Show TTC Price don't seem to work or provide any benefit.

@@Kalam0n I tried LUI Extended and it put everything in weird spots and kind of crappy and I couldn't figure out how to move them. I tried the compass but sadly was in a horrible location and was not at the top of my screen, it was in the bottom right below my quest stuff. I did add Azurah which seems to work great with 1 exception. In vanilla ESO I am annoyed that the loot report is in the exact same spot as my chat log so if chat is open I can not see my loot report. I was hoping Azurah would let me move the loot report but that doesn't seem the case. If it can be moved I'm not finding it. In fact I didn't see an option for moving my chat box either. If things look good to you then it's possible my ultrawide screen is causing issues, the pChat is causing issues or something else is going on.

@@xavierdoesntmatter Yeah, I couldn't say with the ultrawide. Do you have the option to customize with a M&K then switch back? Everything seemed to stay where I had it with M&K after I toggle controller mode. The chat window is moveable and resizable by default with M&K, but I'm betting it's locked with controller mode. I'm sorry to hear that things aren't playing nice for you though.

@@Kalam0n Luckily my chat window is not in controller mode. I just realized after a month of playing I could move it by default lol. I can not seem to move the minimap though. I'm not sure if I"m clicking in the wrong place or because a controller has been used it refuses to let me move it with the mouse. Normally pressing "." allows me to use the mouse to do stuff like moving the chat box but the minimap just sits there. Oh as an FYI, I have gamepad mode flagged to on, not auto, because a lot of people run into issues if it's in auto while actually playing. Not sure if I'm seeing different things from you because of that.

@@xavierdoesntmatter I always forget this, but the minimap has its own position lock. Under Settings>Add-Ons 2, scroll down to the Appearance section and then toggle 'Lock Position & Size'. Once you turn that off you should be able to move it around and resize it, then turn that setting back on to lock it in place.

Some mods require more addons, some require LibMainMenu-2.0, some LibMainMenu (not 2.0) what should I do? Also how I know if add ons conflict with others? Should also install only addons updated from 2023? Some are still 2021... Planning to return to ESO and give it a try but been many years, so not sure anymore how mods works here.

Generally speaking, you can ignore warnings about outdate mods. In most cases, they simply didn't update a line of code to tell ESO that they are up to date, but rarely is there an actual conflict or issue that breaks them. In the case of LibMainMenu, you can probably safely delete 1.0 - I don't even see it as an option anymore, so I suspect that 2.0 will have you covered for any relevant addons. All that being said, there is a big of trial and error, but the 10 I covered in this video were all working well at the time of recording!

I play with a controller, is there a way to move the mini map in Voltans when using a contoller? it makes itself large and puts its self in the right bottom corner when you swap to controller and when you try to use the mouse to move it, it just swaps back to the Keyboard UI lol

With the LUI i got it all down but the only this is when you do out going damage, it shows the damage and a little icon next to the damage with the ability you used, and i really want it off. PLEASEE if anyone can help i would reallly appreciate it.

For me that's C:\Users\Kalam0n\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns Could be different for you, but if they look like they're in the correct spot you might need some help from either ZOS or Minion.

@Kalam0n initially it was pulling from one drive but I don't have space on my cloud so I was switching it off the cloud and I figured if I just remove the files and make a live folder with all the same stuff as it is in the cloud docs folder on my m.2 I'll just reinstall the game and I should be fine right? No. It's still pulling from the cloud and I don't see any way of finding out how to change the directory the game is pulling add-ons from. It must be in some code on one of the several files the game installs on my computer.

That's a new one to me! Under the Votan's Mini Map Pin Sizes settings (under Settings > Add-Ons 2) you can adjust the size of Group Member Pins and Group leader Pins. I don't think you can hide them entirely, but maybe your friend somehow set them to be very small? There's also some default compass settings under Settings>Interface, none specifically mention group members, but maybe turning off Compass Companions or Compass Target Markers also impacts group member appearance. Beyond that I don't know if I have any other ideas.

I've tried ESO 3 times now and i'm finally going to try and stick with it. But damn does the game need a ton of QOL stuff, like ffs i just want to get some wood and jute for some easy exp with the crafting writs but I feel like i'm dying of boredom trying to find a single log or plant that PERFECTLY blends in. I honestly wouldn't have given eso another try if they just give us ES6 already.

The Azurah addon should allow for you to move them around. type /azurah unlock, in the chat window and it should pop open the interface editor. The attribute bars I use are from LUI Extended, which I believe you can unlock from within LUI Extended itself, under the "Unit Frames" module, there's an "unlock custom frames" option.

In most cases you can ignore "out of date" messages. But if you're using Minion it'll keep everything as up-to-date as possible. I think Lorebooks is still working for me, so maybe just double check that you can turn it on, and then double check your map to make sure the pins are turned on. They might just be toggled off.

How do you keep the quest you are working on to stay showing and not change to another

There's should be an option for that under Settings > Interface > Automatic Quest Tracking. If that is turned on, then your Quest Tracker will switch when you accept a new quest. Turn it off to keep your current quest tracked.

I would just worry that it might impact performance in some way. But I haven't tested it. That said, I only install the libraries that are required just in case.

That's a new one to me. Maybe double check that you've got the correct folder selected for Minion? That's my first though, that they're somehow getting added to the wrong folder.

I do like Beam Me Up but I don't have much use for it nowadays. Plus, why did I spend all this gold on houses if I was just gonna use an addon to teleport around? Gotta protect the investment!

I have a love/hate relationship with EHT. It's really awesome for enabling home designers, and it has sooo many additional features. But I find it a little clunky to use and it has compatibility issues with LUI Extended. So, I don't use it often unless I want to add FX to a home design.

I’ve always played on on pcna. When I started I used a controller but never realized how much I hated the ui. Once I switched to keyboard and mouse, and started using addons, my love for the game exploded. I’m an addon junkie now. I probably have 40 to 50 addons. If addons disappeared I probably wouldn’t play.

Agreed! I'm an MMO guy and not necessarily a TES guy, so the default interface was quite foreign to me. I'd love to see some of this functionality rolled into the base game, especially the minimap and customizable unit frames.

when I first started this game I bounced off it fast, I hated the UI for an MMO It isn't a big deal in a Single Player game where checking your map pauses things and you don't need to worry about DPS checks on bosses, but and MMO needs QoL MMO features this doesn't have. I am at about 400 hours now and it is fun so far.

The fact that Minion doesn't allow you to install all required dependencies for an addon is the only thing keeping this app from being awesome. Looking them up and installing them one by one by one is silly and more often then not you miss some. Worth it to do, but tedious.

Are you still having this problem? Did you run the TTC client? TTC isn't quite as plug and play as the other addons, there is the standalone client.exe that must be run to update listings.

@@Kalam0n thanks for the reply, yeah I run the client before loading the game and tried to run it while In game it says all ok, good to go, but at the trader it just constantly says searching and never shows anything

@@Lew-w5y There was just a reddit thread where someone didn't realize they needed to press a key to initiate the search at a guild trader. Any chance that's the problem? I've done the same many times, just waiting for search results to appear, but I never hit 'R'.

Not sure, one of these is just crashing my game after 5 min of gameplay :( I cant tell which mod since they all work xD

A crash like that is usually related to a specific action. Can be tough to identify, but awhile back there was an issue with the resource map addon and you'd crash when it tried to mark resources on your map. Do you happen to recall what you were doing right before you crashed? Might help point towards the culprit. That being said, I haven't had an issue yet and I am still using all of these addons today.

@@Kalam0n It would crash when I teleported or talked to an npc. After it crashed, the launcher would instantly crash trying to start it again and had to restart the pc to get it to work again. After dealing with that multiple times for some reason it has been working now and got the mods setup how I like.😅 Hopefully it keeps on working. Appreciate the response !

@@ItsAdrazA Glad to hear it's fixed now! Sometimes Reddit is a good source of info after a patch. I couldn't figure out the resource map issue on my own, but sure enough, someone had posted a thread about it and shared which addon to turn off to fix it.

That might actually be a base game setting. Under the Settings Menu, go into Combat, and then the first section for Heads-Up Display, make sure Ability Bar is set to Automatic or Always Show. Sounds like it may have mistakenly been changed to 'Don't Show'. That's my guess anyway!
