First off, that outfit is awesome! I never considered myself a “role player”, But my main is Conan the Mad Barbarian. All of his 9 builds( mainly Tanks) are uniquely styled as barbaric Conan. A little gold, lotta leather , fur, bare chest, scars, no tats. Always trying to configure a new look to keep him Conan as possible.

I love theming my characters and creating little backstories for them. My wood elf main has the elven hero armor, dominion war locks, and aldmeri dominion weapons. I’ve decided that she’s half high elf and half wood elf, but she took on the characteristics of her father, the wood elf. She wears her mother’s old battle armor to make herself fit in with her high elf peers.

My main is a dunmer that is absolutely rocking her classic vampire red and black color theme. She looks not so much lore friendly but she did come around in her life and picked up things here and there. She's also wearing a hood that guards her eyes from the sun and that I only take of when it's night or when she's inside. Most of her companions never saw her face from the mouth up. I love creating characters and add them to my mains little found family. They even share a house (well most of them) where everyone has their own little corner. I think my only real lore friendly character is my woodelf healer but only because it suits his background.

Round shields are the best. Ran Abahs Watch shield style for a long time there since it was the only one of a decent size

I went lore friendly as well with my Breton Templar. I used the Daggerfall Covenant heavy armor, one handed sword, and shield (and hid the helmet of course) and then dyed the set using Blood Gold dye and Varla White dye. If ya'll are ever on the US server and see a Templar named Alabard Veltrose adventuring around Tamriel atop a white horse with gold armor that's me.

For my pvp stam dk I use the heavy shape shifter chest since it’s the biggest and bulkiest armors in the game, + the heavy imperial shoulders, those super big shoulder pads, and the shape shifter heavy pants, thy make the char look 70% bigger and beefier then he really is, rounded off with a legion zero helmet all in pitch black with some blood red highlights here and there.

Always lore friendly if possible. Sure my Enonshadow light chest might not necessarily be the most accurate to Altmer lore, but it looks good enough to make it work. Especially once you make the cloth gold

I ALWAYS make my characters lore friendly, name wise and a story in my head of how they came to exist. Whether it's the Iddya Black Briar who was a half Redguard raised by a powerful Nord Family, back when redguard was BIS for Stam DPS, or when eventually I had to make orc (ew) because I was always pushing the next trial trifecta and had to have top parses. But I haven't been on my PC account in a long while. I HAVE been playing on console because I can just solo and not be bothered. But it means less skins...and no tiger mount... I have been enjoying playing Maormer characters there tho

Might be the only one rocking a near total base game race motif on my argonian All but boots is heavy argonian from base game, boots from blackwood, shield from the elder motif of Murkmire only alien piece is the "looted" apostle sword and the Tsaesci light "helmet" while my warden healer just use the traditional argonian costume you can get on the crown store and tbh it just fits her perfectly even theme wise

I kinda do like a middle ground most of the time, especially for PVP, I like making my character look like a boss you'd see in the middle of a dungeon, ESPECIALLY when i'm making tanky characters.

I take issue with any RPer who says your character can only wear items connected to their racial background. That's not how it works in real life, and it's not how it works in Tamriel. Even if Valenwe were a hardcore Dominion High-Elves-4-lyfe stan (hello fellow kids), that Nord shield could have special significance to her on a personal level.

Absolutely. Perhaps she looted it off the corpse of some EP Nord warrior? Or bought it or received it as a gift... There are many ways to tie it in with the character in a plausible way. But personally it's the Honour Guard chest that puzzles me a bit, rather than some Nord shield. And I wonder - does Arttea's main character, Artemis, follow the Green Pact? If so, how does that affect the food/drink recipes she uses?

80 million for a helmet? The ESO economy is insane. The one thing that held me back since I started playing in 2015 I was never been able to get into it and the shameful part is it all my characters have maxed out crafting stats with all legendary Motifes

Bro...I always played TES games with sword and shield, so when ESO first launched, and me having ZERO MMO experience I went my usual route. For like the first full week I didn't even understand what skills were lol, just light attack, heavy attack, and block. But the shields then....OMFG. Firstly, there was obviously no outfit system, no dye stations, the only styles available were the base races, imperial if you got the imperial edition, and daedric if you could find or afford the book for it. So not only were all of us running around in whatever gear style dropped as, in whatever color it happened to be (we all looked HORRIBLE lol, all mismatched and multicolored), but the armor styles changed with the higher level armor (thats why base races have like 4 styles for each thing, slightly different) but the shields were dinner plate sized...it was REDICULOUS..being stuck with teeny tiny little shield. Eventually I learned what puncture skill was, and then after I grouped for a dungeon in zone chat having no clue what a dungeon really was, I got to find out that puncture taunted things lol. As well as people expected me to be a tank given my gear lol. But don't feel bad, I figured the game out and over the next few years played with some of the best guilds and players on PC and had tons of records and server first trial trifectas, and top parses, so it all worked out lol....but those shields...

I mainly play a Bosmer Warden and we need more Wood Elf themed styles too.. ESO has a billion different styles for every Dunmer House, Ashlander, Ordinators, and even Morag Tong… Nords and Imperials have countless themed motifs.. all the other races have several trial or dungeon style pages that drop or gained from events… what about my Wood Elves tho..!?!?!?

That style was a 16 crown gem exclusive from one of the crown crates a while back, so unfortunately it can not be purchased on the guild stores.

A few peeps have been able to sell that style page for 80 mil on PC NA! It is a rare, limited-time undaunted mask style page drop from The Cauldron’s final boss.

@@30FSch haha it is not dropping at the moment, but keep an eye on those crown store showcases to know when it returns! In the meantime, it’s definitely a good idea to complete the HM for that dungeon - this will increase your characters’ chances at receiving a drop when that style page returns!

It must be noted that it is *limited time*. meaning it only drops at certain times. The last time the Cauldron dropped that style was about 1.5 years ago. It'll probably come back in the next year or so but its becoming increasingly more rare. you can see which monster mask style pages are currently dropping by seeing if there's an Arms pack in the crown store or not, and which dungeon it would drop from during the uptime of that arms pack.

Gah, most of Tamriel has been part of the same Empire for several centuries, so of course people can be all over the place, not just in their "homeland". And a High Elf picking up a Nord design is really nothing to write home about. (Although she maybe _shouldn't_ write home about it if her home is in Summerset, people _are_ unbearable snobs there. ;D )

I make my characters outfits match their personalities or classes. You’re an absolute feral fiend? Rugged/tribal look and slap that beast personality on. Also managed to make my khajiit main look like a wolf. But sadly nowadays you can’t like animals without being called a furry 🙃 I also like both lore friendly and cool outfits, I lean more towards cool though.
