I think templars still need puncturing sweeps on the front bar and maybe some healing skill on the back bar for 3dd runs, but we definitely need buffed SoulTrap and Degeneration/Entropy, right? And what about Essence of Spell power potions? Now we have Major Sorcery from Degeneration/Entropy and Major Prophecy from Vampire's Bane/Reflective Light, maybe templars can use any another useful potions or the uptime of this buffs won't be enough from this skills? P.S. So much questions, I know. I need some expert opinion on that one ^_^ Thanks in advance.

@@unknown_username__ you can try soul splitting trap. puncturing sweeps is ok to use if youd like. i think ritual of retribution would be a great skill too. solar barrage and reflective light (other morph of vamp bane) would be good. potions, you can perhaps use some that provide you with a hp recovery boost if youd like. channeled focus, something i didnt include in this video, might also be a good skill to use as well.

So basically all mag classes have been homogenized into the same type of characters, using the same 5 or 6 skills, with maybe a class ability or 2 thrown in. All mag parses about the same. I guess this was ZOS's grand vision. Hmmm, not sure I'm feeling it. Thanks for the video. Awesome as always.

Thanks for your comment. I'll say my small piece on this matter : last patch for many but not all classes, the 3 main new skills we have now (soul trap, degeneration, flame reach) are replacing elemental weapon and inner light double barred, which are also NOT class skills. In my opinion these rotations are more interesting than spamming 1 skill a bit more often (a skill which does half the damage that these dots can do). There is also nothing that stops anyone from replacing one of these dots with a spammable, I'm sure when patch drops you'll figure out some other strong combinations that you like too :D

Hi. Yes I've probably always encouraged 'ranged dds' to play close to melee whenever possible. With the new barbed trap I don't think I would ever used channeled acceleration. Let's see the bash weaving as a bonus gain though rather than a loss. In terms of the added complexity for value it's not that worth it. But in a good trial group you will be able to bash plenty for sure. Master inferno is potato. Don't use it.

@@pixel1858 i would consider a vastly different build for arenas, and then even between solo arenas and 4-man arenas, since they can be very situational. some skills to consider would be channeled focus for sustain, ritual of retribution for the heal and synergy and damage combo, maybe purifying light for the damage and heal. reflective light instead of vampires bane too, perhaps. you'd have to make your own judgement here, but in general remove some of the single target DOTs for a selection of the abilities ive listed.

Hey liko I have a question for you. My guild and I are on Xbox console and are progressing vAS+2. Due to some of the magblade nerfs we are mostly magplars with a couple of magblades and a sorc healer and warden healer. We have had some confusion on whether we should run the off balance CP with 75+ points into thetmaturge or not. And some tell us to run burning Spellweave over Perfected False God's Devotion. Could you please shed some light on what you would run as far as regular CP or Off Balance CP and what gear for DPS would pull more respectable damage. I know this is a huge but it would really help me out. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I think it would be ok to run offbalance CP. Just do ensure that your supports are proccing offbalance at the right time if you choose to go this path. With magplars I guess you are pretty safe to run those CPs anyway. If you have Perfected False God, I would probably run that, the sustain would be really nice in this situation. Perhaps Sorrow body and PFG front if you have, otherwise the other way round is fine too.

i dont really do testing on a 3mil, but you can just replace scalding rune for ele drain if you want to self-drain. if sustain is rougher, then you can use further temporary adjustments like using the atronach mundus stone to practice, if its needed

Hey mate, What kind of dps loss would it be when dots fall off for a second? Combination of playing on console and playing from Australia is a latency deathwish. Trying to pin point where my numbers are going and it’s the only thing I can put it down to. Mate also has the same problem and we are struggling to work out what we’re doing wrong but we’re lost. Any input would be appreciated, cheers

Hard to say. I know some aus players and they are fine with the latency, so maybe you are unlucky with that. Despite your poor ping, this won't affect how relatively simple the static rotation is, so if I'm honest, your dps shouldnt have anything to do with your ping. Feel free to shoot me a video recording maybe I can take a look when I have the time :)

@ImWoeful x hey, i saw this and your updated videos. rotation looks decent, but rotation speed isn't quite there. most of your rotations are 9-10 seconds long, all i had to do was time it with a stopwatch to see this. if your ping is stable, although high, it shouldn't lead to this much rotation speed loss. sometimes i see its your barswapping with shards which can cause a slowdown, perhaps you may want to try switching around for example your flame reach and shards, so your'e barswapping off flame reach instead. sorry for the slow response, youtube doesnt tell me when someone replies to my comments so i had to check manually!

I’ll have to try swapping some skills around that’s a solid idea, both rune and shards are pretty detrimental skills that are so hit and miss for me. You are on the money with the delay after the bar swaps, if I go to fast the skills just don’t cast for me and if I cast the first skill after the barswap to fast it won’t let me get the la off. the only real adjustments i would need to make is based on how much cp i need to add/take away in spell erosion, otherwise the pattern stays more or less the same. the only thing i want to make sure is to truly never over-allocate into spell erosion becuase its a complete waste. this is true for pretty much all classes.

that mostly sounds ok to be honest. ritual of retribution would be a nice skill that id also add since it gives your teammates a synergy and a heal, as well as doing damage for you too. group buffs can also make a great difference, so make sure you speak to your team mates about that too!

Weird no one has mentioned damage got buffed. And all classes seem pretty balanced. Almost every boss fight in a trial has adds, if you want more class identity just put in a class aoe. This rotation isn't mandated by Zosnor anything. I thinks it's cool we could now bring pretty much any magicka class into a trial now. Perhaps mixing and matching what type buffs and synergies each class will offer is what top guilds will do instead of everyone just being the same class that hits the hardest.

Not really, zos changed things so that bash scales with max magicka and spell damage so it's pretty worth it now as added bonus damage
