Reading the forums and apparently it has something to do with Proximity Det and how the Tarnished Nightmare set works, the proc of this set can hit the same target twice so what I assume is that once Proximity Target hits it does this chain reaction of multiple damage instances of it to multiple people and the more people that get hit the more it scatters and hits multiple times.

the way to use this bug 1.take nightmare 2.equip the skill:inevitable detonation 3.use the detonation skill and let this skill proc nightmare only 4.the bug work sucess，the nightmare damge will 100% increases as will as each enemy with the bomb's radius the point is dont do any other damage to proc nightmare ,only detonation remenber that,go to enjoy that before zos fix it

The final damage on a death recap can be higher than the health. If you only 3k health remaining and you receive damage it will be higher than if you were at full health. That's because damage modifiers are used when you are at low health to calculate the damage. ESO's death recap is a summary. I would prefer a recap which shows the damage in the actual order received, along with remaining health after receiving damage.

Apparently Oakfather's set is working as intended according to the devs in the forums so idk what they are going to do to solve this combo issue with tarnished set

if i was the devs i would just ban the set temporarily and then unban it when they fix the issue with a hotfix but idk how the process works, heard it might take a month or so.

This is not oakfather's, the recap shows vicious death from the same guy, not possible hes wearing oakfathers as well. The main issue of the bug is tarnished scaling from the per target scaling that proxy/inevitable has, should be a pretty easy fix, either make it so tarnished cant scale per target or disable tarnished from being proc'd by proxy det/any other dmg increase per target skill/set.

Does it only hit those numbers if you use inev/proxy or would it still hit 26k if people are just clumped up?
