Pile 2 here. Well, I just saw him 2 weeks ago after 8 years or so of being apart. I was being myself but he seemed shy and reserved. Pile 2 here. I've had feelings for a friend of mine for over a decade. I only really pursued it in the last few years. I recognize he also has feelings in return, but he's always difficult to read. I was tired of feeling like I was chasing, that we were in limbo, and that sometimes he didn't have the same priorities. Pile 2- i was in a situationship with a guy who treated me as his girlfriend but didn’t want a relationship, he basically didn’t view me as anything serious. This probably stems from the fact he got out of his long term relationship in January, and doesn’t want to get hurt again. I ended things recently and told him that i dont want to continue anything if he doesn’t view me as anything serious.
