Here is where I'd usually have a big write-up with my thoughts on GMs and the game as a whole, but honestly, nothing has really changed over the last few seasons for me. GMs still remain both stale and uninteresting, and feel like nothing more than a seasonal checklist. While they can be rewarding when double loot drops are on, they're fundamentally the same from when they were introduced back in Season 10: over 3 years ago. The only changes that have been made are to make them more accessible, and to add Battlegrounds as Nightfalls. I don't enjoy infinitely spawning enemies in sections, so you can imagine how much fun I've had this season with 3 Battlegrounds in the mix. To be fair though, the tuning they've done to the BGs have made them more acceptable, but the infinite spawning enemies are annoying to deal with regardless of that.
I still think that they need to bring back the GM selector node at all times, rather than it being on a knockout system. It was nice being able to pick what GM you want to do at any point of the season, rather than being left at the whim of the rotation. I know everyone would go towards farming the easiest one, but I don't see the problem if playtime and engagement is up. On the contrary, it also personally keeps me from being able to do multiple runs of each GM, where I'd normally like to have one of each class for each GM, particularly for the harder ones. But depending on my schedule, I may not have enough time to be able to run more than a single GM the week it's available, meaning I miss out on it. Maybe after unlocking the Conqueror Gild it could become available.
Overall, I wish I had more to add to the conversation, but this time around it feels repetitive.
