For our fifth instalment of Esox Diaries, we venture deep into Argyll where the mountains and lochs of the west coast harbour many a secret. The southern highlands of Scotland are steeped in myth, legend, and folklore, from the warring clans and the Jacobite rebellion to tales of Faeries, Kelpies, Banshees, and of course, Unicorns. but perhaps Scotland’s best-known wonder, is that of a large aquatic ‘monster’. Loch Ness may not be alone in this claim to fame, as many of Scotland’s lochs are almost as dark, deep and mysterious, and here, there be monsters… One might say, ‘Leviathans’

That totally sum's up Pike fishing, every trip full of expectation whether river, lake, loch, no matter what we catch we still go back out with the same enthusiasm time after time, personally I never tire from it & hope I never will, but wow what a stunning place guys!!!

Me and brother fished this exact spot at start of the year got a 20lb pike, a 17 a 15 a 9 and a 6 over 3 days and a handful of perch biggest being about half lb.

I fished Loch Awe about 8 years ago before I had a stroke, a long trip from south east England but I was on Awe for 2 weeks but only had 2 pike, one jack of about 6 lbs and one of 17 lbs but loved it, the only trouble I had was finding baits in the tackle shops. ( Les)

How's it fishing last time we went up we were up at Ford side on the boat and it was very very deep like 100 ft all the way along the time before that I was fishing on the castle bit and managed wan in the middle of eh night but I've not been able to fish where you are in the video

The bigs mans fucking Amazing 🤣🤣 ye sit there hoping the alarm wakes ye up but it’s just shite 🤣🤣🤣 a fish Lomond aswell caught a 7lbs last week from the loch still not biting really next week or 2 after Xmas should tell how Lomond is fishing I know one spot yer no allowed to fish there but the pike are massive biggest av had from it is 15.07 n heard of a 28 pulled from it not far from Lomond
