Hello mate, ESP could mean a lot of things as various systems and module work together to create the ESP system. In my case the problem was the ABS sensor as ypu can see but in your situation it would be something else such as safety belt, pretensions, abs module, Airbags system, steering wheel angle, yaw sensor. You really need to get the car scanned to know for sure. Hope I have helped you a bit.

Did that help? And before you changed the switch, was there light when you were braking or no? I have esp and run flat inoperative on my A180CDI but braking lights working when brake pedal is pressed.

What was the point of that??? we all know the causes!!! you only show one problem with one solution and pointless if you dont have a reader!!!!!! DOH!
