In this video I show you how I diagnosed the ESP Inoperative See Owner's Manual Fault on my Mercedes vehicle.

Using the Scan tool I was able to quickly identify the problematic sensors and to clean the electrical connections to resolve the issue.
Specifically I demonstrated this on my 2011 Mercedes ML300

Just wondering My ESP light is just on constantly and I used a code reader the told me the codes for my engine that already knew not for the ESP so do u think the code reader u have will work ?

My esp switch is not working. I can’t turn my esp off. I changed abs module and traction module and esp switch. I know traction is working beixase I tried to slide the car, traction kicked in. I’m unable to turn it off from the switch. Any idea ? I have 2001 clk 320 w208

@@halalli5480 Hi Hal, I have not personally used a MB v3, however I genuinely find this hard to believe that the v3 would not diagnose the ESP system. I suggest that you get in contact with iCarsoft as i think your unit maybe faulty. Cheers Drew

The same warning light has appeared on my 2010 300 ML along with an occasional shudder and yesterday the auto box would not move up the gears. I had to drive home at high revs then on my driveway, it refused to go into reverse so I could park up. Eventually it did reverse. Do you think this could be connected? I’m concerned the auto gear box could be failing.

@@DrewFixIt Thanks for replying. I don’t own a scanner myself. My local garage said they would check it out but not till later in the week frustratingly, and advised not to drive the car. The mechanic I spoke to thinks the gear box may have gone based on the symptoms. The car has never given me any problems with gear change before-it was totally out the blue. It’s got almost 125k on the clock. Can these engines way exceed that in your experience?

So I finally found a icar soft MB V1.0, arrived yesterday. I have both esp and ans warning lights on the dash. they come and go, so I sometimes have cruis control, sometimes not. LOL Ran a diagnostic (with lights on) but faults came empty. A wee bit lost here ! Will try an update on the scanner tool. cheers !!

Hello Master, I hope you're doing well. Actually, I have a problem in my 2006 Mercedes ML350 car, in the parking lot it seems to accelerate normally but once on the road while driving, there is a yellow triangle shaped light that flashes after it there is a loss of power, the car refuses to accelerate and there are codes 1186 (p2004), 5130 (L6/4 speed sensor), 5110 (L6/2 speed sensor), and 7266 speedtronic sometimes not functional. but with the code p2004 the car worked normally no triangle light. but now as soon as the light flashes I can no longer move forward! Could the ABS be responsible for this problem? Thank you for your help please

Hi Mate, it seems to me that looking at your codes I think that you have multiple issues happening at once. Had the p2004 been around for a while? To be honest I would work through each of the issues separately. Given that you imply that the p2004 was there before with no issues before the yellow triangle then I would start with the speed sensors. But you do need to address the p2004, which appears to be a manifold related issue. Cheers Drew

Yes mate, iCarsoft release updates to the software for the newer models over time. Note, if you have a vehicle of an age that does not have a OBD2 port, such as your 1960 Mercedes, then it won't be supported. Cheers Drew
