I wish they made this without the DB. To me, half of the appeal is the non Gibson neck joint.
@the_hippykiller22 Жыл бұрын
Too bad they didn't include the shaved neck joint instead of the back binding like they do on most other eclipses nowadays, I'd really like the vintage black model to replace my ec1000 but this really kills it for me, ESP lost a sale for sure. Playability first.
@simonsmith264211 ай бұрын
They have one with the comfort cut it only has front binding of course to accommodate that carve. Its also a bit skinnier nut width. Have no idea neck profile thickness on any of these which is important buying online. Nobody is measuring it!

This question can’t be for real. Honestly. A Les Paul Standard may be beautiful and may sound pretty nice but that‘s about it. Even the LTD EC 1000 Series puts most Gibsons to shame.
@nicovinn4113 жыл бұрын
@@flowryan5829 so it's safe to assume that youre new to guitar instrument, for what i've experienced for almost 2 yrs now the Gibson LPS has the clearest sound compared to its rival wannabes and that's not to say the Gibson is the undisputed one very reason why this guitar come to existence. @flowryan58293 жыл бұрын
@@shamerzaihan8638 100% agreed. The Les Paul is cool and all, no bashing here. But quality wise, the E-II wipes the floor with most Gibson. Even the EC 1000 Series is more than just on par with Gibson. I do get the flair that Gibsons bring with them but that‘s about it. Overly hyped.

It's Gibson money so why not buy Gibson? ESP depreciate badly.
@RaymondBaer4 жыл бұрын
How do you figure? Last time I looked at double-bound Gibsons with ebony fingerboards, I could only find them out of the Custom Shop, and those bad boys are well over $4500, want an "aged" VOS finish? $6700. This is nowhere near Gibson money. Even LP standard at $2500 is $600 more than one of these... Prices aside, unless you're looking to immediately mod your LP, the only thing this has in common is tonewood, body shape and binding. Everything else is, dare I say, more modern and ergonomic. Too bad about the depreciation though, I can probably sell my 2011 LP for a profit today. Doubt you'd be saying the same about an Eclipse unless it's an original Japanese custom.
@nealdewar99594 жыл бұрын
@@RaymondBaer Don't get me wrong I would buy a pre owned ESP & let some other mug take the hit. Same as I would do with a car. The snobbery that goes with buying electric guitars is hilarious. There's nothing wrong with "modding" it was good enough for greats in the early days & the Tonewood argument is dead but hey its a free world we're we have choice. 🕊️
@Thirteen31Music3 жыл бұрын
As an owner of both a Gibson and This guitar I personally think this guitar is far better for the money. This is about £1000 less the a Gibson LP and the quality is every bit as good if not better. If you want value retention buy the Gibson. If you want a really really solid working mans guitar at a really great price this is a better option.

Because Gibson sucks!
@kebsis3 жыл бұрын
I bought one of these way back in like 2008 or so, and they seem to be going for about the same price I paid used back then. Including inflation that's probably a noticable amount of depreciation but it's not like the bottom fell out of it. Plus it's still in perfectly good condition 13 years later.
