Hello from Canada Jon. I am looking at Epiphone LP (both the '59 or the Inspired by Gibson '60's) and wondering if you can describe how the ESP Edwards E LPS neck profile and fret size compares to these Epi's. I am unlikely to be able to get my hands on a Edwards, so I need your opinion before I talk to Jeanette. Thank you for your channel and your inspirational playing.

The ESP neck profile will be thinner with a 12” radius. It will be a much comfortable guitar to play✌️❤️

A friend of mine has an Edwards LP Custom replica (the classic white one) and that thing puts any real Gibson LP Custom to shame. Real ebony fingerboard, Seymour Duncan JB/59 set stock from the factory, quality hardware, cost him 1/3 the price of the "authentic" thing and sounds & plays absolutely fantastic.

If you look under the neck humbucker you can see the long neck tenon and just how well made the workmanship is ! Great guitars for relatively good price ! You ought to try find a Navigator LP guitar ESPs top line guitars !

Hi Jon, I have an LPS too. Surprised me you weighed it to be 3.9kg. Mine is 3.3kg and I was concerned it felt a bit toyish, but Edwards are known for light guitars.

Great review, man. Finally someone on KZbin who gets it right: the music and demo first; talking (the review & conclusion) at the end. Ah, and it doesn't hurt that your playing is excellent, as well :) I tried my first Edwards guitar today, an alder body strat, and was totally blown away. Had never heard about the brand, but the quality of this instrument was obvious from the moment I took it off the wall. Thanks again for such a great review.

I love that fretboard, and that bridge pickup is so crisp, usually, when a guitar is a limited edition the decal is understated but this is right there in your face

Hi Jon, great review but I think you should have mentioned the veneer on the fretboard. It can be contentious beautifying it like that if they had used decent rosewood on the fretboard.

What veneer? It’s is a rosewood fretboard

@@JonIsJustTooLoud If you have access to one, check again. It is silk smooth with no open pores. There is no depth to the grains like on regular rosewood boards. It's not listed on the specs, but highly doubt it's solid rosewood.
