Hello Andrew, My name is Tylor and I was raised in a christian home my whole life. The first album I ever owned was Jesus Freak by DC Talk. I would listen to this album for hours in my bed room and I fell in love with christian music. My dad would read the bible to me and pray over me and my siblings every night. As I grew older I got into bands like Audio Adrenaline Skillet and so on. I started watching Radio U and Video zone every saturday when it would come on and my brother and I would record our favorite songs off of those show on to tapes and replay them over and over again and pretend like we were in our favorite bands. One day on the video zone they played a song from a band I never heard of named "Disciple" and the song was called "wait is over". My brother and I loved this song and discovered our new favorite band and to my surprise shortly after seeing this music video and loving this band they came to my home town Atascadero and played at a small church there where there were only around 50 people in the audience. This band turned my small flame of love for music into a huge fire, but as time went on I listened to other music of Corse and I went to school and I had friends who turned me on to other awesome sounding bands that sang songs that glorified the world. I started to stray from God in high school even though I didn't realize it, I wrote many songs and played many live shows with my band "Odonovan"( this youtube account Im messaging you from) and played in many bars and became part of the world myself and started questioning if what I was raised to believe was true until about 3 months ago when I was driving home from work and the starting singing lyrics that were just coming out of me and I had no option but to voice record them on my phone. It felt wierd but also I felt like the words needed to written and a song needed to be made. After I recorded this song chorus idea on my phone I felt this pull like I was being led back to my roots. One day I was sitting alone at work crying out to God "show me your real" , "tell me your here"! Because although I was raised in a Christian home I felt like my whole life I believed in Jesus because I knew nothing else but If I was going to believe I wanted to believe because it is what I believe to be true... after I cried out I felt like God told me that I don't put myself in any place to be close to him and I always push him away even though he's always right there. I finally said "fine , if there is a bible in here at my work I will read it". Sure enough I open the drawer next to me and one was there. I started reading and as I read I prayed that my mind would be open to receive any messages he wants to give me and ever since than my life feels full and I realized that my father was always with me. I started listening to the old bands that got me into music in the first place and now I hear the lyrics like I've never heard them before. I know you weren't in Disciple when I loved them back in the day but I want to thank you Kevin and all the other newer guys for keeping the same spirit and words of life alive. I love the newest album and I would love to send you guys these lyrics that were put on my heart a few months back.
