Pete worked as a freelance demonstrator for a distributor whose clients included Mesa Boogie. He was introduced to Andertons via the horrifically awkward Mesa Cab Clone video (a re-shoot of one where Lee and Chappers rightly trashed the CC) where he was basically forced to lie through his teeth. Lee took pity on him and said 'Come and work for me instead' - the rest, as they say, is history!

It really depends which one... I started with a Ltd ec-100 like... 7 or 8 years ago, and since that I think I never played on a worse guitar. Sounded weak, and felt so wrong the edges of the fretboard were kinda painful. I should have bought a Squier I think, they're really good cheap guitars. Then I bought a LTD MH-400 NT... The finish is great, it feels great but damn, it would sound so much better with some Seymour Duncan or Bare Knuckle instead of the impersonal Emgs. I also have a Gibson Les Paul and a SG, and nothing to complain about... I'd like to try a really expensive ESP and I'm sure it would be great but please.. No more Emgs...

vuriby: I have the EC-256 and its pretty damn good but its a les paul style guitar and not a strat style. It plays better than my 700 dollar fender did plus its really hard to find that style of humbucker for that cheap but then again im more of a rock, metal person anyway. its not even a year old maybe half a year so there quality good have gone up over the years i dont really know.

Don't worry, my MH-400 is still good, yours will be fine too :b The Emgs really are the biggest cons (if not the only one) of most Esp's guitars. I'm a metal guy and god, it's like THE style of music they're supposed to be good for, but they aren't... Sounds so linear and weak..

The white and black one also reminds me of Adrian Smith's signature Jackson, which is basically an alternative to a Stratocaster as well. - They're practically the same, apart from the Jackson having a Floyd and locking nut, with the budget version of the Jackson being a little more expensive. (Maybe without being on sale the LTD would be about the same price.) - You could go either way.

Having been binge-watching Andertons vids over the last two weeks while researching a guitar purchase (I've not seen any before that), I have to say the development of Lee's playing has been impressive. He's gone from looking a little awkward while ripping his favourite licks, to fluently rocking out a series Clapton-esque squeals and throwing in a few rock star poses (full arm strum, bouncing the body to sustain the chord...). Impressive. Oh and the guitars look/sound great. Remind me a little of late-80s Blade superstrats.
