Super video, eSpares. If the reset button is immovable, stuck in what I assume is its "up" position, I presume the element then is beyond repair? You've put me on the right track - *many* thanks.
@eSpares5 жыл бұрын
Hi Gareth, on the Beko model in the video if the thermostat can't be reset you would need to replace the element because it comes as one unit but check your model first as on some makes the thermostat can be replaced without the element saving you money.

Thanks for the feedback James, there can be two main causes of the cut out tripping. 1: If air flow is restricted from a blocked filter or condenser it can overheat so check these are clean. 2: Often users turn te dryer off when 'hot' and do not allow the machine to run through the 'cool down' part of the cycle. Do not allow the machine to be stopped mid cycle for more than a few seconds or it can cut out like this.

@eSpares5 жыл бұрын
HI Sarah, the connections are held in by a screw and a snap fit connection, you need the top off and there is a screw on the back to release to get the wiring block out and that one is the snap fit one.

Also beko has a massive problem with the main PCB, that will also give a failure in heating, all other parts will work fine.... This is a problem that starts at the sensors but shows very little sign until it over heats the PCB.

@zikermu5 жыл бұрын
Hello, if your tumble dryers are dead quickly is that there is a problem of common mode. This may simply be the fact that you do not clean the filter with each use. When the filter is clogged, the airflow over the resistance is lower and therefore warmer. This triggers the safety thermostat and makes it age longer. quickly resistance. A second common mode case may be a thermally sealed room (ie without sweeping (with fresh air in at the bottom + air evacuation in height (because the warm air is lighter)) of air. The thermal phenomenon on the resistance is of the same nature (but not of the same amplitude) as previously described.A third common mode could be a higher than normal mains voltage, in which case the power dissipated by the resistance would be higher [Formula : P = (UxU) / R]. This hypothesis is plausible but in general, one of the electronic components of the card dies.This seems to me the best way to go.
@PeterFalconII7 жыл бұрын
Hi can you tell me if the on this dryer should have any resistance or how to test the heating element. this dryer is the same as one I am looking at but the dryer only seems to be heating up every once in a while sometimes it's running at 70 -80 °c sometimes it's running at 30-40°c and one time after take it apart and putting it back together it ran a few times at 90-95°c which I believe it should do. Most of the time it seems to be running at 70 ish it's the digital version of the one your fixing in this video. I tested the heating element and the thermostats that's resets let was reading short circuit and the other thermostat had some resistance.
@eSpares7 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter. The heater on the dryer in the video has an overheat cut out and a resistive NTC thermister that monitors the air temperature to feedback to the control board. Your problem is likely in our opinion to be the sensor that is supplied with the new heater but it is possible to be due to the control board.
@PeterFalconII7 жыл бұрын
What resistance is on the thermistor on the heating element at room temperature please. Just helps me eliminate faults. The ntc on the front is reading just like a normal thermistor on the nearer showing room temperature on the my meters thermostat setting. The rear is showing like it's a capacitor rising in resistance as I measure it it settles out in ohms at 8k ohms which is about the same as the front one.
@eSpares7 жыл бұрын
Manufacturers do not supply the specific resistances of NTC's. Depending on the meter and its range the current flowing through a NTC can warm the element changing the resistance so this may not be faulty.
