How timely is our God🙏was just speaking with my husband who is still working at 74 while supporting other family members financially and wondering how much longer we can do this. I was just expressing my concerns to the Lord when I opened my you tube up to you. You reminded me about the faithfulness of our Lord and brought to mind my favorite hymn, Great is thy faithfulness. I have recently written this scripture down to work on as a memory verse. Often I am weighed down by my "afflictions and my wanderings"....desiring to be "as Christ" yet knowing that is not possible on this side of Glory. It is such an encouragement to remember that yes....."The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never end....they are new EVERY morning !" What a wonderful thing to remember....every single morning. Thank you sir for your encouraging words and for bringing this scripture to others in need of a lift !

Just needed that word today. I know that hymn so well. I play it at church, but since my husband passed over 4 years ago, my family are not as close thus it's broken up our home. Saved since 1975, here in south Ireland, plus 6 children who had lot of christian years in between. Please pray for my situation, as jealousy and greed has crept in. 1 Son is a missionary and going on with Jesus. Thank you.

I’m really sorry. I’ve been angry with Him too. I’ve been taking care of people my whole life. It is so incredibly hard and overwhelming to the mind body and emotions, yet people see it as insignificant to care for others, preferring other things. You are an incredibly Faithful, loyal, patient servant and I pray you hear well done, from your Father in Heaven! Like you though, I am burnt out because I forgot myself in this too. We are called to love God and love others as ourselves...so treat yourself with compassion and care too. X

That's my favourite hymn. I was singing it back in 1991 at a service when the words 'strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow ' jumped out at me. The next year, my life changed enormously and i began a long period of raising my children alone. I never forgot those words. They still touch me now, when my children are grown and I am retired. Thanks be to God.

I have never read the book of lamentations, but today I open up my Bible randomly to the first page of lamentations. I lay it open on my bed, so I could read later when I had more time.
