I had this song on repeat throughout the day on 25th August 2022 when I was in labour for my daughter who is now 7 weeks old and on my chest as I'm typing this listening to this song. It was my mantra, kept me calm and serene as my daughter was transitioning into this world. "If you are reading this, You Are Life force"....

Luv this. It was part of my labour playlist too. It all went to fast to play it, but it was the first song my son heard once we were home in June 2022.

This formwela found me in the right time for thinking about my self-induced sensation of a need for rushing for everything, and at the same feeling late for every single thing, including my owns. About never feeling good enough, about excluding myself out of everything in order to fullfill duties no one but I charged upon me. I know it is uncalled for, but at the same time necessary for me to write this. Just wanted to say thank you a million times for your music, your life and your beatiful work. Your music truly heals.

It's tunes like these that feel kind of like a road trip with no destination. If you keep hoping "we're gonna get somewhere", then you'll be disappointed. If you just take it for what it is, take in the luxurious scenery, it's so much more rewarding. I could feel such a strong connection in this music, and I'll take that over a destination any day. Thanks Espy!

I love that you made music that came out of your human spirit and not out of corporative pressures...lovely, beautiful, healing..I needed this album..The world needs your energy...May the world be blessed with many more people to follow your steps, not only in music, but in teaching, in health, in science, in politics, in justice...we need the heart to join our world again, we need to break the chains that close or spirit in a box of rational egoistic survival mode...Let the healing restart mankind...let us breath again, let us listen again..may we wake up..

Keeping the bass groove going throughout is alone a great achievement, but the way Esperanza can sing a line in a contrary rhythm on top of that is incredible and an inspiration.

magic this sweet melody .. caresses of sun and breeze on my face .. like a sailboat in harmony with nature I let myself be lulled by the waves of a river in Chiang Mai ..

The song seems like a musical elegy as a way of emotionally describing the complexity of life based around a recurring theme that remains the same throughout. A reflection of how we can change over the course of our lives but in some ways still always have an essence that remains constant.

The description for this song is perfect. First listen earlier today made me feel safe and spoke directly to my soul. Was tearing up the whole way through. Really live the William Onyeabor/ Sun Ra/ Pharaoh vibe too! Seems to take one to a humble village back in ones home being held in the bossom of ones mother. Thank you for blessing us with this music. P.s Also love that random spawn bag of Oysters In the studio!

I think it's a syncopated and stretchy 12/8 the whole time
This is a good one! The first good song I found of her. After I cannot believe that all of her songs can be bad - because of the good press and Grammy - I began to search and search. Now I found one... Nice modern Spiritual Jazz. Moods and atmosphere are nice to listen to. It`s not to technically - always when she begins to get fast and technically, she looses her feeling - in my ears. Perhaps she should write more songs like this one: Not too fast, not too many instrument, no dissonances, some melodies, etc. etc. and no SINGING. I am sorry, but she sounds more Britney than Alice, you know what I mean.
