Corrections etc - At 55:48 I say you can't increase your Kakusei Over level (Overmode level) in Zesshikai Over. This is wrong. You CAN do that. - The glitchy stuff at 1:30:31 is not intentional (thank you Vegas) but I simply cannot be bothered to rerender/upload/let youtube process the entire thing again. Let's just pretend it was an artistic editing decision... - The onscreen notes during Kujaku's flower ring pattern at 1:57:42 say that "I'm nearly certain the flower on the left will always spawn first." It doesn't. I THINK it is more LIKELY but it's not ALWAYS. It can definitely spawn on the right first. You really just have to watch the Janome ghosts like a hawk to see where the flower ring appears first. - I probably should have made it clearer that all the strategy discussion is mostly focused on Ageha. Most of the stuff will also be useable for Tateha and Asagi but some stuff won't. For example, at 1:34:16 I show a strategy for Ageha right after the stage 2 midboss where you can stay still and hold focus shot to effortlessly kill enemies as soon as they spawn. This does not work for Tateha and Asagi since their focus shot is too weak for this; the enemies actually get a few shots off and can sneakily kill you this way. Hardcore Tanoshii has a useful guide for Asagi here kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHnKppqMfrN6ndk & I'd like to eventually do a Tateha 1CC commentary myself. - When I discuss Asagi getting extremely strong in the lategame, that's when their focus shot becomes more powerful during an alternate mode. Not normal mode. Yes at that point they are definitely still good in normal mode, but they REALLY shine in an alternate mode. Stuff I forgot to mention - Autobombs always behave like the most basic guard barrier attack, regardless of the percentage of energy consumed. Autobombs will always be the weakest, narrowest, and shortest bomb. - If you charge the bomb long enough to completely drain the energy meter, it will automatically fire once it hits 0%. - You don't earn score over time during bosses when in Overmode or Zesshikai Over, so my comment at 54:30 is wrong. They probably use Zesshikai Over here because they ran out of gems anyway and you may as well do some extra damage while using the relatively easy safespot.

Excellent guide! I wish there were more like these for many other Shmups on KZbin. I'm starting to try the 1cc in this game and I'm finding it quite difficult. I'm sure this will be good for me to draw strategies. Good luck if you try to bring a clear with another character!

This is extremely well done! I’ll be referencing this a lot as I learn to play this game. The editing was really well done, especially with how you incorporated the text tutorials on the side along with the gameplay. You also spoke very clearly, which made following along easy, too. One thing I will mention is that the audio during your 1cc commentary section was a bit too loud when you were not talking. With headphones, I had to turn the volume down when you had the game audio playing and then up when you lowered the game audio to talk since I had to turn the volume down too low. Other than that, I enjoyed watching this from start to finish. Do you have any plans to cover Black Label or the Arrange modes?

And yeah honestly i thought the same about the audio balance during the 1cc part; i pretty much noticed too late once i'd already uploaded the thing. For future videos i'll definitely look into a better solution than the insane manual audio envelope editing i was doing lol. I dont have plans to do videos on Black Label/Arrange/Omake since I know basically nothing about them, but if I come to eventually play them and love them, I might! A Tateha commentary is more on the cards I think...

One thing I didn't see mentioned in your explanations of stage 2: if you destroy the center of the first cruise ship just before it scrolls off the bottom of the screen you'll activate several waves of additional zako throughout the level to help recover gems.

That's really good to know! Tbh I think there's lots of these kinds of tricks that still elude me, like killing midbosses earlier to make more enemies spawn and that sort of thing, so thanks for bringing it to my attention!
