That pickup even without the signature gain-boost really helps nail that high-mid articulation even though so many people hate the EMG-HZ series; it's the best that could be done to emulate the older tone since Jackson discontinued their preamp a long time ago, but the ESP MM-04 seems to be more versatile anyways..

I get where your coming from, but I see it differently. Alexi spec'd these out himself. There's pictures online of him with these guitars. They were going to be released as his new signature models before he passed. They aren't making profit off of him because of that. Alexi was an ESP signature artist and ESP had likely started production on these 2 models before he passed away. Was ESP supposed to throw away all of these guitars mid production and take a big financial hit so people wouldn't think they were intentionally trying to profit from an artists passing? Alexi was very happy with and proud of these new models and his estate will definitely be getting his portion of the money made from each guitar sold. So I see nothing wrong at all with releasing these. I think it would have been wrong to not offer these models to the public after he passed. This was the last project Alexi worked on with ESP so its only right that they honor his name and legacy with one last signature model to finish out his almost 2 decade long relationship with these guitars

@@omgdisfunny4852 Fact is, Alexi designed and "played" these two models when he was still alive, and these models were intended to be released at the beginning of 2021 had he not passed away, but was then postponed because of his death. If you go check the pics of the back of the guitar from ESP USA's website, you'll notice the sample guitar pics bore the 2020 serial number which implies these guitars were already in plans of production during 2020(when he's still alive).
