Never understood this. Wins a championship with Kodiak and leaves.. What a middle finger to a lesser known team. I love rusty but never understood this move

He drove for Raymond Beadle in 1990 too Raymond sold the team to Roger Penske in 91 or 92 (Rusty and the team went with it) Raymond was running out of money toward the end of the 89 season and was late on paying his team and his bills alot of the time (Tim Brewer was paying it out of his pocket for a while)

They had a deal with Miller Lite for the next season Raymond Beadle sold the team to Roger Penske (with Miller Lite sponsorship) Two years later Checks were constantly bouncing One time they owed Goodyear $20,000 or they wouldn't mount tires for them Tim Brewer was paying the tire bill and their paychecks out of his own savings account Even after winning the championship it wasn't uncommon for the truck driver to be stuck in the middle of the night (at some truck stop) Not able to fuel
