@g-knowledge4639 you are a classic example of why I tell kids to finish high-school. If you had a high-school education then you would clearly see that he matched her energy and a rebuttal based off a guy who actually played in the nba so he has experience and a elite education from Duke University instead of letting some woman with no experience try to create her own narrative...isn't there plenty of women playing victim in the wnba about not getting paid like the men...you see that is a topic a woman should be on top of instead speaking on topics she clearly has no experience in....go help the other woman victims...lmao women don't even support women sports...#FakeVictimhood!!!

Austin Rivers is full of 5hit..Tony Gonzalez was an ALL AMERICAN Tight End at Cal who played basketball in his OFFSEASON....Antonio Gates was a two sport star who got recruited by NICK SABAN at Michigan State because Saban said he would be a First Round Pick at Tight End but didnt want him to play two sports...Julius Peppers was an ALL AMERICAN lineman who "walked on" to the UNC basketball team just like a feminine biiitch-made basektball player he manipulates and LIES in a slick way to make it SEEM as if he were right..football players run track, play basketball and baseball in their OFFSEASON..there are NO basektball players who "play football" in their offseason

@VangYang-ve4yj
@VangYang-ve4yj 24 күн бұрын
Honestly. Basketball players can not play football and vice versa. Football players can’t play basketball. Talk about a point guard playing qb? GTFO. Point guards ain’t got 255 plus men trying to the qb to the ground. And then a fast SG or a SF playing WR. GTFO. Corners in the NFL are so physical in the jam that the basketball player will flop. This is a retarded conversation. And I think Austin rivers made himself more of a fool than to be viewed as any type of analysts. Btw. Randy moss could’ve played in the nba. So stop.

RG3 a fool 😂 that response was dumb af. Your man said 7 minutes of defense. WTF is that. That’s not a damn “NBA player” if anything RG3 disrespected both the nba and Josh Allen at the same time with that one. Not only that but RG3 goes on to compliment Rivers by mentioning a two sport star which was one of Rivers point. They all go to NFL instead of NBA except for Ward. But the true crime in all this, is yet again another black woman creating some black on black drama as RG3 took it so far to mentioning his Heisman winning trophy which has nothing to do with the conversation. He was triggered and emotional. 😂

That's my thinking, basketball takes more skill as far as shooting, not committing fouls, dribbling, finesse around the rim, etc. But I think football has some of the rawest athletes around. You can put um on defense, after you teach um not to foul, but that's maybe it.

Less spots on the team as well. The argument is definitely in favor of basketball players being able to play pro football. It’s interesting tho because when it comes to skill, I think there’s more involved with basketball but I don’t think there’s a single NBA player that could play baseball but a lot of football players can.

Allen Iverson is a pretty close example. He was an NFL prospect as a QB in high school. But changed to focus on basketball his senior year. It's not the college example Austin is asking for, but it's pretty close. Iverson himself said Football was his #1 sport. Shannon Sharpe said he thought Iverson would have been even better in the NFL than he was in the NBA. So it can be done, but overall Austin is right.

Off subject a little, but I was just at the Micah Hyde Softball game with the entire Buffalo Bills roster, and I witnessed Josh Allen hit 12+ home runs in the home run derby. Mind you, they made a shorter fence, but there were plenty of hits where the ball just missed the actual wall in the outfield. Josh Allen is a pure unit and can probably play any sport with the right training.

If football players could play in the nba, they would, and for multiple reasons. 1. Nba players make more $ on average. 2. Less injuries(both frequency and severity) 3. Longer careers. 4. More public visibility. 5. Guaranteed contracts. There are almost no advantages of playing professional football over basketball. I can't think of a single 1.

@fledgendbeats4581 I think that's part of austin Rivers Point. We may never see a 5'5 basketball player ever again. 5'9 guys have to be the most skilled guys on the court to even get a look. The nba has so many 5'9-6'6 athletic guys that would give the average 5'9 DBs trouble, just on the height and reach alone. Height plays a big factor with receivers. Calvin johnson, andre johnson, terrell owens, Randy Moss, Jerry rice, larry fitzgerald, ect. 2-5 inches taller than average 6'0 nfl WR.

To the guy who uploaded this video: You are correct. Kimberly Martin shouldn't even be on TV. She is just like Malik Andrews (Dumb as Rocks). In general, many analysts, especially on ESPN (Steven A), have yet to learn what they are discussing. As a spectator, I root for my team, and yes, some players, in general, I don't care for. Never, ever, on television, would you try to humiliate or say something wrong about a player. Some Analysts think they have a platform to speak or talk about someone else's dirty laundry or just in general. But the most humiliating thing is for someone who talks badly about a professional or sportsperson and hasn't done anything except graduate college. So excuse me, Shut the ___________up.

He mentioned Rico Gathers… he has 3 catches for 45 yards in his career. Antonio and Tony both played football first then played basketball. His examples were pretty terrible, the only that actually worked was jimmy graham cause he only played 1 year at Miami. All the other ones though are not good examples, plus no basketball player can take a hit from a 250 lb linebacker going full speed at them.

NFL athletes are overall the best athletes and almost all of them have played high school basketball and some in college. On those two levels you can get away with pure athleticism on the court. When it comes to the NBA the skill difference from college is astounding and why over 99% of college hoopers will never see the NBA. Terrell Owens is a pretty decent hooper with legendary athleticism has said during his playing days that he would drop the NFL like a bad habit to play in the NBA. No NBA team ever thought about giving him a chance. In the NFL he's a big receiver at 6'3, in the NBA he would've been a short guy. Kimberly and RG3 are beyond delusional.

Austin isn’t wrong many athletes that played both football and basketball. There just came a point that players had to make a decision which they wanted more and which sport they felt they were going to excel in career wise. I could be wrong but seems slightly easier to make an NFL team than a NBA team. Like 30 guys in one sport 15 in the other. And what has Matt Barnes or T. Gonzalez have to say?

I think people severely underestimate NBA height even compared to other professional athletes....Josh Allen is considered an above average/tall qb at 6'5", but on a court that's the size of your pg/sg....so at that height you HAVE to be very skilled at dribbling, passing or shooting and usually a combination of the 3 to make a team. Your offensive lineman probably are your tallest by position on average but the tallest in the league right now are around 6'9". So you'd have to be tenacious defensively like a Draymond or a Dennis Rodman because 6'9" is short for a big man
